Miracleman – the first true revisionist comic series that, in one form or another, is as old as I am. You can read the ‘modern’ version of Marvelman/Miracleman in the various compilations of the comics from the 80’s til today. Start here. You can get a glinpse of the bizarre publishing history of the character through all of its 70 years in the wikipedia article acout it here Golden Apple Comics have been a landmark in comics retailing for generatios now, and it remains virtualy untouched since the days I browded there some forty years ago. If you haven’t discovered the truly remarkable work of Alan Moore, expecially his 80s and 90s stuff, check them out here … and Neil Gaiman and his own strange and wondrous brand of fantast deserves your attention, too. Let’s look at yet another British TV series – but don’t worry, you can see this one in the U.S. of A without a VPN – and yet another superhero show. Like we haven’t talked about enough British shows and superhero shows lately: Extraordinary. Extraordinary’s first season is on Hulu, right here. Another irresistible show from the UK: Gogglebox! You can catch Gogglebox here on Channel 4 … though you’ll need to be hooked into a UK server using a VPN to get there. (Actually, that’s not entirely true. You can join Apple+ and get some seasons, but it’s not nearly as much fun. Apple+ is here. And yes, I still recommend NordVPN, and no they are not a sponsor.
