We have arrived at what is most likely the last Moron Gaming Podcast and I
have a deep dark secret to share… I’d tell you what that is here, but it
kind of ruins the surprise of it all. For real though, thank you to anyone
and everyone who listened over the last few years.
Much like how the dinosaurs went extinct but came back like that movie I
stole the title from, we’re back. We know it’s been a rough few weeks
without us and we are here to rectify that situation. We talk about all
sorts of fun things, some of which is even video game related! So sit down,
have a nice relaxing cup of whatever you find relaxing, and listen to this
podcast.
I’m keeping this brief because as I sit here to upload this there are mere
minutes until Ubisoft Forward, which is clearly more important than this.
We had some technical issues with this show, so you’ll notice some cuts
here and there, but nothing important got lost.
I’m genuinely not sure what to put in this description. This show went
places.
The Playstation 5 is almost here and Sony has finally shown it to us. They also showed off a whole lot of new games, which we barely talked about. No one ever claimed we were good at this.
Sometimes you can’t play the game you would really like to play, so you
settle for the next best thing. Best is incredibly subjective in this
instance, but you get the point. I’d put more in this episode description,
but what more is there to even say?
This week we workshop the future of the podcast. Video games are out and Tim Allen is in! But that’s not all. We also discussed Microsoft and Ubisoft maybe not being the most honest, getting older, and gaming chairs. Not because we think gaming chairs are cool though, it’s because we are old and those chairs have lumbar support.
Well the new business cards are in and Dale is officially an aspiring
amateur voice actor. We all do a very bad job at New Zealand accents this
week, because we have officially pretty much stopped talking about games
anymore. Ok, well that’s a lie, because some things got covered, like the
fact that the story for The Last Of Us 2 leaked. I did describe some of the
leaks in detail but decided I should probably cut it in case the listener
gets mad about it. We can’t afford to lose you listener, you’re precious to
us. Some other video games and topics were also probably discussed, but
full disclosure, I didn’t keep notes this week so I don’t really have a
full list of what we talked about to inform you of.
We’ve finally come to realize what probably all of you have known for a
long time. We aren’t really doing this podcast for anyone other than
ourselves. That doesn’t mean you can’t listen to it and hopefully enjoy it
though. This week we discuss World Of Warcraft Classic, some more Kakarot,
Fallout 76, and Overwatch. That’s pretty much how we know it’s not for you
anymore, if it was we would try to talk about something new and maybe even
interesting. But you know what, was it ever really about the games?
Dales wife somehow wound up with a name change during this episode. Could I
go back to find it and figure out what that reason was? Yes, but I won’t
because I like the mystery. Which really should go to show about how much
editing goes into one of these. Spoiler alert, it’s almost none.
This week we actually discussed video games for most of the episode. We
aren’t even having to lie about being a video game podcast anymore, which
is pretty cool. Todd and Andy are way into Borderlands 3 at the moment,
Dale is way into Kakarot, and pinball is cool. Also, some health advice is
given, are you checking yourself?
We are social distancing here at the Moron Gaming Podcast, which isn’t all
to different from how we normally live our lives. New video games came out
and were discussed, like Doom Eternal and Animal Crossing. Bleeding Edge
also came out, but that’s a whole thing. We have a youtube channel that is
getting new content as well, so check that out. Just search for Moron
Gaming on there or something, I’m sure you’ll find it.
Much was discussed this week, from video games to viruses, we’ve got it all. Have you ever wondered how this podcast gets made? Well, it’s discussed a bit in the beginning and I didn’t feel like cutting it out, even though it is objectively bad content.
This week we talk all about The Division 2 because it got a pretty good
expansion. That’s actually pretty much entirely what this episode is, so I
hope it’s what you wanted to hear about. Todd get’s pretty in depth about
some mechanics of the game that I (I is Andy, in case you haven’t figured
out who writes these) honestly had no idea existed. So yeah, The Division
2, or Diablo with guns, or whatever you want to call it. Enjoy.
We are back and it’s almost like we never left (as long as you don’t count
the part where we did leave for like 6 months). Quite a bit of not gaming
was discussed, but what did you really expect at this point. There is a
pretty heft edit right at the beginning of this at about the one minute
mark. We are recording using a different method and there was a small
hiccup in the recording, but nothing good got missed, so don’t worry.
