On the show this week Jennifer is joined by a couple of friends, Eliane Kennedy and Valencia Kyles, who are movie enthusiasts. They discuss their thoughts on recent movies in the theaters and TV shows on streaming platforms.
On this episode, Jennifer is in conversation with Grammy nominated jazz musician Nnenna Freelon. Along for the ride as special co-host is Tom Coulson, host of the nationally syndicated jazz/blues music program "Full Moon Hacksaw".
On the program we spotlight resources for caregivers. Today more than one in five Americans are caregivers. Millions of Americans provide unpaid care to family and friends. The aging Baby Boomers are requiring care, but many Boomers are also caregivers. We have Deb Seng, Director of Caregiving and Community Initiatives for Pima Council On Aging (PCOA) in Pima County, Arizona. We cover the history of PCOA, various resources that caregivers can utilize and how those listening in areas outside of Arizona can also obtain resources for caregivers.
This week we discuss the glorious, wonderful train. Our guests are Jim Mathews, President and CEO of the Rail Passengers Association. Along for the ride is Todd Liebman, President of All Aboard Arizona. During the program Jim shares the history of the Rail Passengers Association, and he and Todd update us on the work being done to relaunch passenger rail service between Phoenix and Tucson. They also share information about an upcoming rail passengers conference that will be held in Tucson in October 2024.
