Description

What do you believe—and how did you come to believe it?

Welcome to Belief, Being, & BEYOND, where curiosity meets spirituality, and we explore the beliefs, practices, and experiences that shape how we move through the world. We dialogue with authors, teachers, witches, shamans, pagans, occultists, and other curious souls about what they believe—and what might lie BEYOND.

Join Granddaughter Crow (aka Dr. Joy Gray), a Medicine Woman, Shamanic Practitioner, and member of the Navajo Nation as she interviews authors and creators on what they believe in. If you're looking for a place to explore different spiritual perspectives, ideas and practices then this is the podcast for you! Jenny C Bell, a witch with over three decades of experience, joins as a co-host and often uses her degree in literature to take a deeper look at an author's work.

There’s no spiritual pop quiz here, and no one has all the answers. We ask questions, explore different perspectives, wander down a few fascinating rabbit holes, and sometimes discover something that makes us see the world a little differently—the BEYOND.

Bring your curiosity.
Bring your questions.
Bring your beliefs, and ability to wonder.
You may come looking for answers.
You’ll probably leave with a few more concepts.
And perhaps a new idea about what lies BEYOND!

Text or VM the Show Halloween gets all the attention, but Samhain is where the season turns into something deeper. We’re talking about the real meaning behind Samhain (often said like “Sowin”), why it sits on the witch’s Wheel of the Year as a cross quarter day, and how that timing connects to what we can feel in the natural world as autumn darkens and the year shifts toward winter. If you’ve ever heard “the veil is thinning” and wondered what that even means, we make it plain and practical. ...
Text or VM the Show A lot of us learned “belonging” by getting smaller. So when we finally try to be honest, creative, or spiritual in our own way, it can feel risky, even when it’s the truest thing about us. We sit down with V Readus, author of Tarot for the Flawed and Fearless and the creator behind Red Light Readings, to talk about what it really takes to stop shrinking and start showing up with embodied confidence. We trace the origin story of people pleasing through a memora...
Text or VM the Show The shadow is not a monster under the bed. Most of the time, it is the part of us that got shamed, silenced, or trained to disappear and it is still trying to protect us the only way it knows how. We start with a clear, grounded definition of shadow work through Carl Jung, then bring it into real witchcraft and shamanism practice. We talk about how the shadow forms through social pressure and early conditioning, why certain emotions like anger get labeled “bad,” and how s...
Text or VM the Show What really happens in your brain when you practice magic, pull tarot cards, or step into a ritual with a clear intention? We talk with neuroscientist, educator, and author Siddharth Ramakrishnan about the surprising places where modern neuroscience and ancient mystical practice stop arguing and start explaining each other. If you’ve ever worried that loving science means you can’t be spiritual (or that understanding the brain will “ruin” the mystery), this conversation fl...
Text or VM the Show Braiding your hair with a whispered intention sounds simple, but it opens a door into a whole world of fiber magic. We’re joined by Loren Morris, a traditional witch, owner of Primitive Witchery in Kingsport, Tennessee, and author of The Crafty Witch’s Guide to Cord Magic. Loren talks about cord magic as a living, hands-on practice: not just tying knots, but building a spell you can see, touch, and return to. We get into what makes a spell cord feel different ...
