This is episode 1 of the ClayDHD podcast. It discusses Indigenizing and Decolonizing teaching and learning from the perspective of a settler currently living and working on Syilx land and born in Treaty 8 territory. It explores the racist colonial narrative that characterized the Valladolid debates, the Doctrine of Discovery, and the notion that treaties between the Crown/Canada and Indigenous nations in what we now call Canada extinguished the Aboriginal rights and title of those Indigenous nations.
