(S3E52) – Matt C. White If you don’t know Matt C. White, you need to, and now you will, because on this episode of Rich & Turbo’s Heavy Half Hour (S3E52), we welcome Matt to talk about his new solo album, The Flood, available as we speak via Bandcamp, as well as all of the other cool projects he works on like Certain Death, 95 Bulls, and some other very cool stuff coming very soon. I love all of Matt’s work and he is also a super cool guy, so go check out The Flood and all of his other projects, then come back and listen to our chat!
(S3E51) – Auralayer Back in 2023, this band put out their killer debut, Thousand Petals, that I just loved. Now, the Greenville, South Carolina trio Auralayer is back with full length number two, titled Into The Aura Lair, which takes their awesome version of grunge/stoner/sludge/psych to a whole new level. So on this episode of Rich & Turbo’s Heavy Half Hour (S3E51), we welcome Thomas, Jake, and Harold to the show to talk about their killer new record that is dropping on December 4th (first single on Bandcamp NOW!) as well as the band’s influences, working with Phillip Cope (Kylesa) on the boards, and so much more, including a Days of the New Green album love session with Rich and Jake. Please check out the single, pre order the album, then come listen to our chat!
(S3E50) – Planet Desert Rock Preview w/ John Gist In what is becoming a yearly tradition for the show, for this episode of Rich and Turbo’s Heavy Half Hour, we speak with John Gist, mastermind of Planet Desert Rock. We cover all of the bands that will venture to Las Vegas for Planet Desert Rock Weekend VII, happening January 28- 31, 2027 at The Usual Place. Sasquatch! Greenleaf! Mothership! ASG! REZN! Steak! Sergeant Thunderhoof! Gozu! Florist! Check out our chat, then plan your trip to Vegas!
(S2E10) – Back In The Late 1900s w/Jay & Rich: Dug Pinnick from King’s X One of my top five favorite bands of all time is King’s X, and on this episode Jay and I got to speak with Dug Pinnick for 75 minutes, which is still pretty unbelievable to type. We talk about so much, including some of his amazing side projects and, of course, King’s X. Dug is so great, and this is a bucket list level guest, so please check this out. If you are a fan you will love this, if you are new to the band, you will soon see why King’s X and Dug are the best. w/video: https://youtu.be/Yt4UqqD0XV4 www.kingsxrocks.com https://www.facebook.com/share/1FVg2FhD4o/ https://www.instagram.com/kingsxofficial?stkn=MWh3cjdpZzdweTBvZQ==
(S3E49) – Heavy Temple & Crystal Spiders A first for Rich and Turbo’s Heavy Half Hour (S3E49), as two of our favorite bands join the show. Both Brenna from Crystal Spiders and Nighthawk from Heavy Temple chat with me about a whole bunch of things, but mostly their joint Crystal Temple Tour happening this October, including a stop at our friend Jason Doome’s amazing Grand Rapids Doom Fest. We cover so much ground about both bands, like DIY ethos, touring, how great Amos Rifkin is, and so much more. I use the word interview loosely here, as we just all talk a lot about whatever. This was one of my favorites ever (my face still hurts from laughing) so please listen and go see the bands if they are anywhere near you in October!!!
