This episode features a conversation with Dark Delicacies co-founder and author Del Howison on the history of his beloved shop in Burbank as it rounds the corner toward its final day in April after decades of serving West coast genre fans with books, movies, collectibles, and unforgettable signing events. Del and I discuss the origin of the store, his inspiring relationship with wife and co-founder Sue Howison, and what it has meant to them to be so ingrained in the world of genre entertainment. Del also gets into his process as a prolific writer, and much more. A lovely conversation to say farewell to a store that has always been so much more than a store and to two people everyone in the horror film community will miss.

Composer Timothy Andrew Edwards has hundreds of film and television credits under his belt and is one of my closest friends. Tim scored a number of projects for me including the 2012 documentary YOU CAN'T KILL THE BOGEYMAN, and our history goes back to my earliest adventures in Los Angeles. In addition to his music, Tim teaches courses at the Musician's Institute on Hollywood and runs a music publishing company that gets the work of dozens of composers from all around the world onto screens big and small. In this conversation we talk a lot about getting into the business and how to survive in such an unpredictable industry, reminisce on some of our nocturnal LA excursions, and offer a lot of inspiration for creatives.
Also on this episode: news about my book ROADSIDE MEMORIES: BELOVED AND BIZARRE ATTRACTIONS FROM NORTH AMERICA'S PAST now being available in paperback, updates on physical media releases, and more.

The world of film is in a state of flux right now as streaming continues to cast a larger shadow and retailers have started backing away from carrying movies on their shelves. On this episode I welcome Jake Boston, SteelbookObsessed on social media, for a discussion about what he sees going on in the realm of physical media...the past, the present, and what might lie in the future. Jake brings up some intriguing points, particularly the connection between the worlds of gaming and physical media movies, so I then bring longtime buddy Mike Saunders (Attack of the Killer Podcast, Prescribed Films) on to share insight from his many years in video game retail and what his perspective is on the paralells between these realms.
Also on this episode I reveal my first book, Roadside Memories: Beloved and Bizarre Attractions from North America's Past, will be available on Amazon in February.

In 2012 I had the honor of contributing to the KISS tourbook/magazine for their then-forthcoming album Monster and corresponding tour, and for the project I did a retrospective on their 1978 Hanna-Barbera-produced TV movie KISS MEETS THE PHANTOM OF THE PARK. For the piece I interviewed director Gordon Hessler, star Anthony Zerbe, producer Terry Morse Jr. and Gene Simmons, and in this episode of the Radio Hour I present those never-before-heard interviews as originally recorded, along with input from Ace Frehley, Paul Stanley, and Peter Criss on what was a wild production at a pivotal moment in the band's career. I dive deep on historical context of where the band was at this moment, their zenith. It is a fascinating examination of an under-explored made-for-TV gem from one of rock's most enduring acts.
Also included are listener voicemails on the topic of long overdue "deluxe edition" physical media releases, Reverend Entertainment news, and more.

Also on this episode I catch up on voice mails and emails to the show, and more.

Episode 41 features an archival interview with director Michael Cooney on his 1997 direct-to-video winter classic JACK FROST. Michael and I talk through the production of the film, the snowman costume fail that led to the movie's humor, the 1998 sequel, and he breaks down the third JACK FROST film he would still love to make. Anthony C. Ferrante then joins me for a discussion of his favorite physical media releases of 2024, followed by listener voicemails and social media responses on the topic. Also, I make an exciting announcement about a new production partnership for me starting in 2025. It is a packed episode perfect for the year-end holiday season!

Happy Halloween! On this episode I chat with Michael and Jason Leavy who are part of the team behind the TERRIFIER films, STREAM, the upcoming SCREAMBOAT, and their company Fuzz on the Lens Productions. We dive deep on their early film work, their Staten Island Clown prank that ended up getting national attention, working with cinema icons on their earlier feature ABNORMAL ATTRACTION, and of course the whole world of TERRIFIER and the family that has created these films that have revolutionized the industry by chainsawing through doors for independent cinema. A fun conversation captured in my room while at the Chiller Theater convention in New Jersey a week prior, and one that offers a lot of inspiration and insight for aspiring creatives.
I also make an exciting announcement about joining another podcast, an update on my upcoming documentary film KUKSI, wax nostalgic about the Halloween nights of my youth, and more.

Welcome to my nightmare! Episode 36 is dedicated to all things Alice Cooper, featuring three long interviews with the icon on his music, family, film work, and beyond. Also included are interviews with Rachel Talalay (who directed Alice in FREDDY'S DEAD), Rob Stefaniuk (who directed Alice in SUCK), Jake the Snake Roberts (who Alice accompanied to the ring at Wrestlemania 3), and music video pioneer Jeffrey Abelson (who directed the video for He's Back: The Man Behind the Mask, the theme song for FRIDAY THE 13TH: JASON LIVES).
I have interviewed and spent time with Alice many times over the years, and there is no better way to celebrate October and the spooky season than with this nearly three-hour exploration of his life and career. Alice is candid and revealing, telling stories behind his youth, music, PRINCE OF DARKNESS, MONSTER DOG, JASON LIVES, sobriety, family life, love for horror films, and so so much more. A truly grand celebration of all things Coop!

Sculptor Kris Kuksi creates incredible three dimensional art that is as immersive as it is revolutionary. The painstakingly gathered model kit pieces, injection molded orphans, bric-a-brac and knick knacks, figurines, jewelry and plastic animals congeal into a re-imagined frieze, a macabre amalgam, that reveals, confronts, and provokes a viewer’s belief system by reimagining familiar narratives into new contexts. Also on this episode is the announcement of a new documentary film project, updates on Reverend Entertainment, and more.
