As Vilmer Sawyer attempts to rebuild the family legacy, his version of the “business” spirals out of control, drawing the attention of powerful figures who don’t tolerate mistakes. What begins as a routine pickup turns into a night of chaos, survival, and exposure—pulling back the curtain on a hidden network that thrives on silence. With bodies discovered, survivors speaking out, and key players disappearing once again, one question remains…Was this the end of the Sawyers?Or at least the end of Earls side of the family tree?Sources -The Texas Chain Saw Massacre (19740) Directed by Tobe Hooper, Written by Kim Henkel & Tobe Hooper and Distributed by Bryanston Distributing Company. The Texas Chainsaw Massacre Part 2 (1986) Directed by Tobe Hooper, Written by L. After years in the shadows, the Sawyer family returns to familiar ground… but nothing about them is the same. With the bloodline on the brink and no women left within the clan, Anne Sawyer is forced to make a brutal decision—adapt or die. What follows is a calculated evolution of the family’s methods, turning survival into something far more systematic… and far more disturbing. As disappearances begin to mount and a mass grave is uncovered near Newt County, a chance detour sends two unsuspecting travelers straight into the heart of Sawyer territory. But this time, the hunt doesn’t go to plan.Because for the first time in decades… someone fights back. And when the dust settles, the family that once ruled in silence is left shattered—its future uncertain, its monsters missing, and its legend more dangerous than ever.Sources -The Texas Chain Saw Massacre (19740) Directed by Tobe Hooper, Written by Kim Henkel & Tobe Hooper and Distributed by Bryanston Distributing Company. The Texas Chainsaw Massacre Part 2 (1986) Directed by Tobe Hooper, Written by L. The Hardesty incident should have ended the Sawyer family. One survivor escaped. Four people vanished. And for the first time in generations, the house in Newt County faced real scrutiny. But the Sawyers didn’t disappear. They adapted. In this chapter we follow Drayton Sawyer in the aftermath of that night as the family fractures, alliances shift, and the surviving clan disappears into a darker criminal underworld. The legend of Leatherface was no longer confined to a single farmhouse… and what came next would set the stage for an even more terrifying chapter in the Sawyer story.Sources -The Texas Chain Saw Massacre (19740) Directed by Tobe Hooper, Written by Kim Henkel & Tobe Hooper and Distributed by Bryanston Distributing Company. The Texas Chainsaw Massacre Part 2 (1986) Directed by Tobe Hooper, Written by L. *Major video issues this week, But We'll be back in your eyeholes next week in HD and in living color*The legend of the Sawyers didn’t begin with a chainsaw.Long before the Hardesty incident exposed the family to the outside world, something far darker had been taking shape deep in rural Texas. In this second chapter of our investigation into the Sawyer bloodline, we step back in time to uncover the origins of the clan itself. We examine the life of Earl Sawyer — the patriarch whose influence would linger long after death — and the strange, isolated world he built with his wife Wilhelmina. What began as survival on unforgiving land slowly evolved into something far more disturbing.Sources -The Texas Chain Saw Massacre (19740) Directed by Tobe Hooper, Written by Kim Henkel & Tobe Hooper and Distributed by Bryanston Distributing Company. The Texas Chainsaw Massacre Part 2 (1986) Directed by Tobe Hooper, Written by L. Before the chainsaw became a symbol of terror, before the name “Leatherface” spread across Texas like a whispered curse, there was a family. In this opening chapter of our five-part deep dive into the Sawyer bloodline, we strip away the campfire retellings and examine the roots of the legend. We explore the grave desecrations that drew unwanted attention to Newt County, the unstable artistry of Norbert “Nubbins” Sawyer, and the slow escalation that brought a group of young outsiders onto land soaked in secrecy. From a roadside encounter with a razor-wielding drifter to a gas station owner who seemed too calm for a man surrounded by chaos, we reconstruct the night that changed everything. Through Sally Hardesty’s fractured testimony and later accounts from within the family itself, we chart the vanishings, the violence in the woods, and the infamous dinner ritual that transformed rumor into mythology. This is not the fall of the Sawyers. This is the spark. The moment when isolation met exposure. The night the house reacted. And the beginning of a legend that would refuse to die.Sources - The Texas Chain Saw Massacre (19740) Directed by Tobe Hooper, Written by Kim Henkel & Tobe Hooper and Distributed by Bryanston Distributing Company. The Texas Chainsaw Massacre Part 2 (1986) Directed by Tobe Hooper, Written by L. In a quiet corner of America, a church preached purity. What it practiced was something else entirely. This week we examine the rise of Abin Cooper and the Five Points Trinity Church, a fundamentalist sect that blurred the line between belief and brutality. What began as fire-and-brimstone rhetoric escalated into abduction, execution, and a federal siege that nearly ended in mass annihilation. As law enforcement closed in, scripture was weaponized, martyrdom was rehearsed, and a single gunshot turned a standoff into open war. When a mysterious horn echoed across the battlefield, even federal command hesitated — and for a moment, prophecy seemed real. This isn’t just the story of a cult. It’s a story about power, fear, and what happens when ideology convinces ordinary people they’re chosen.Abin Cooper didn’t think he was a villain. He thought he was history.Source - Red State (2011) Directed & Written by Kevin Smith & Distributed by LionsgateIf you like this and want to hear more check out our Patreon page @ www.patreon.com/TheHorrorverseNetworkSubs are only $5 a month with a 7 day free trial for all new subscribersAnd don't forget to follow us on socials @alivealivepod and @aimeeroseiaa

On the night of June 2, 2011, the border town of Sangre de Cristo, Arizona was besieged by an undisclosed incident resulting in the grisly massacre of the town's population of 57 residents. The bodies of most residents are never found, and remains of the victims are dismembered and covered with human bite marks. The police apprehend the lone survivor of the event: Francisco Salazar, town resident, handyman, and amateur photographer, who was caught trying to flee south to Mexico. Due to him also being a loner, drifter, and having illegally entered the country years before, he is labeled as the prime suspect of the killings. But evidence showed something more, something monsterous, something unnatural. This evidence was buried, until now!!!Source - Savageland (2011) Directed and Written by Phil Guidry, Simon Herbert & David Whelan with Production Company The Massive Film Company. If you like this and want to hear more check out our Patreon page @ www.patreon.com/TheHorrorverseNetworkSubs are only $5 a month with a 7 day free trial for all new subscribersAnd don't forget to follow us on socials @alivealivepod and @aimeeroseiaa

What happens when intelligence, grief, and bad decisions share the same house. The Pinborough family believed they were prepared.Prepared for loss.Prepared for responsibility.Prepared to live alongside something they thought they understood. They were wrong. This episode examines the events surrounding Ben, a highly intelligent chimpanzee raised as family, and how a single infection turned trust into catastrophe. As containment fails and help is miles away, survival becomes a race against time, biology, and denial. This is not a story about a monster. It’s a story about proximity, arrogance, and what happens when nature doesn’t care how much you love it.Some families fall apart. This one was torn apart.Source -Primate (2025) - Directed by Johannes Roberts, Written by Johannes Roberts & Ernest Riera and Distributed by Paramount PicturesIf you like this and want to hear more check out our Patreon page @ www.patreon.com/TheHorrorverseNetworkSubs are only $5 a month with a 7 day free trial for all new subscribersAnd don't forget to follow us on socials @alivealivepod and @aimeeroseiaa
