Alberta: Please vote in today's referendum if you haven't yet. Everyone else listening in: Enjoy another three hours of offbeat easy listening, including Les Baxter going Lovecraftian, Chopin without the piano, various shades of dream pop and shoegaze, and other sounds to help find your footing on a Monday morning.Playlist: MIZU - OvertureBibio, Dorian Concept - Pigeon HarpHollie Kenniff - Come What MayWanderingaria - wringResavoir - StratosphereTelemakus, featuring Flying Lotus, Miguel Atwood-Ferguson - The Center EyeAksak Maboul - MontagneZachary Gray - RoundaboutPrins Emanuel, Golden Ivy, Inre Kretsen Grupp - Tirzas TrägårdMount Maxwell - For YouGaspar Claus - Amour constrictor (Fugue)Mariusz Szypura - Nocturne Op. 72 No. 1The Album Leaf, featuring Spencer Zahn - FloatingCG Tears - Night Arms DividerSteve Bates - Lettre d’amour à Fly Pan AmM. A not-at-all Thanksgiving-themed episode on this holiday Monday. Instead, you get apocalyptic Axelrod, "doomed" Andy Boay, city pop from a 1980 Marvel vampire anime, music for wildflowers and weather systems, and other eclectic sounds to start your week on solid footing. Hope you enjoy it.Playlist: Plains Apparition - MigrationAndy Bell, Masal - Soap and WaterKodama こだま - Two For JoyPyramid Eyes - SnowflakeBICEP - LemonderWilfred Kozub - Firefly LagoonDave Angel - GoddessJeremiah Chiu - DoublesOdd Nosdam - DeepsimpleSanctums - CiceroBuildings and Food - Bus StopEucalyptus - Orb Palaceastral RIDDIMS - Dogon SpaceforcePlay Time - Open the Door, JoeyBrainstory - The WatchersDavid Axelrod - The Warnings Part 3David Axelrod - The Signs Part 4Various Artists, Light in the Attic, featuring Seiji Yokoyama - Quincy Harker no ThemeSocool - OriginsEleven76 - Someone's Always ThereBadge Époque Ensemble - A Cloud I DreamtAndy Boay - Why Now?Peel Dream Magazine - Blind FaithElephant Stone - Here Comes the Rising SunKali Horse - Cheap HighGhostkeeper - People of the PinesGnoomes - CrangonyxM83 - Losing GroundColliding Canyons - The Remover of ObstaclesSean Wolcott - Whispers in the BambooMisha Panfilov - Away We Drove

Of note: An unexpected early episode farewell to the great Canadian label Telephone Explosion; a throwback to the band that (supposedly) underpins The A.M.'s whole mood; autumnal shoegaze and jangle pop; and other mellow sounds to indulge in on an October morning. The Honourable Eleanor Olszewski joins midway through the show to discuss the upcoming referendum in Alberta — please don't forget to vote on October 19 or in one of the advance ballots. Otherwise, it's a steady mix of mid-tempo music for an autumn morning. Nearly all brand-new songs, with a couple exceptions. Hope you enjoy them, and have a fantastic week!Playlist: Light Conductor - She Glitters the DustCorntuth - Nightingale WaltzDeniz Cuylan - BluffsIker Munduate - GeltokiakEmily A.
