Rome, Aaron, and Jaeson begin the pod while simultaneously being distracted by what would turn out to be the 2nd longest game in World Series history with the Blue Jays and Dodgers playing out in the background. Rome starts recapping a bad week against the spread (04:36) before breaking down some of the week's "biggest wins" (07:20), "biggest losses" (23:09), before wrapping up NFL coverage with Rome's tentative new power rankings and some live reactions from the World Series game (33:39).
Then it's onto the Mexico Grand Prix (36:13) which turned out to be a dominating win for Lando Norris while the rest of the field dealt with interesting pit stop strategies and penalties (41:33), the battle for positioning in the Drivers and Constructors Championship (51:11), and a quick look into who may have the edge heading into Brazil (56:44).
The guys then bring some "bonus coverage" with a closer look into LSU and the surprising or maybe not-so surprising firing of Brian Kelly (01:03:03) and who can possibly be a candidate for the job next (01:16:05). All three segments are available on the SFTS Podcast Youtube Channel respectively.

Rome and Aaron talk about the disastrous week last week in the Westgate Super Contest while they reflect and recap in what was a weekend of surprising performances and upsets which included ranked Miami and Nebraska going down Friday night, continuing with tough losses by Ole'Miss and LSU, more coaching firings, speculations on potential coaches on the move this offseason, and Aaron's Florida State staying pat with Mike Norvell for the remainder of the season despite an ugly loss in Palo Alto.
They then get into the "Games of the Week" for Week 9 in college football (16:38) which features 12 contests this week, starting off with Baylor and #21 ranked Cincinnati, and ending with #23 Illinois versus Washington (34:14). Rome and the guys have a lot to review from a wild and action packed weekend which include conclusions to both the ALCS & NLCS, a drama-filled race in Austin for F1, and ofcourse everything NFL. They begin with live updates during the Texas v. Seattle MNF game before naming biggest wins (06:40), the "butt-whipping" of the week (17:24), coaches in hot seat (27:46), and then Rome's latest updates to the power rankings before recapping both the AL & NLCS with the Dodgers sweeping the Brewers and the Blue Jays swinging themselves back to life for a trip to the World Series (39:48). The guys then end with talking about all the F1 drama with Verstappen and Norris closing the gap on Piastri (57:57) and a little preview of the upcoming race in Mexico City.

Rome is not having it after watching the Steelers lose a golden opportunity in the AFC North as Joe 2.0 and the Bengals win the Icy Hot Bowl on Thursday Night Football. The guys do a quick recap of the AL and NLCS (04:06) before checking in on Aaron's Circa Survivor standing, then it's onto NFL lines with the guys for Week 7. They kick off with the early morning London game (08:56) and the rest of the Sunday morning slate before getting to the afternoon games (28:34), then Sunday and Monday night games (46:52) respectively.

This week features a total of 16 games with two Friday night (02:19), twelve on Saturday (08:05) which is chalk full of playoff implications like #5 Ole' Miss vs #9 Georgia (15:59), and #20 USC vs Jaeson's #13 Notre Dame (25:05). Catch Aaron's "Locks of the Week" (29:46) where he has consistently gone at least 2-1 every week and an additional two bonus games for your pleasure (30:51). Then the guys talk MLB Playoffs as we are well into both the NLCS and ALCS (33:57) where Toronto looks like they are batting their way back into the series in Seattle, and the Brewers looking a little blue with a string of steller performances from the Dodgers starting pitching and clutch hitting to take a commanding 3-0 series lead. They end with AL and NLCS predictions (59:05).

The guys recap Week 6 in the NFL which started off with a doozy in Broncos escaping Alcatraz aka London with a narrow dub over the offense-deficient Jets. They then review the rest of Sunday's games by nominating who had the "Biggest Win of the Week" (05:41), "Biggest Loss of the Week" (15:04), and Rome glazing over his Steelers (28:29). And in keeping with tradition that started last year, they nominate which teams' seasons are already over (33:02) and which are on life-support; which if we are counting altogether, a third of the NFL is already out of the picture after Week 6. Yikes!
Then its onto a recap of Week 7 in College Football, with Jaeson stopping Rome within minutes to talk about the biggest story in college sports: the firing of Penn States' now former HC James Franklin (38:58). They discuss some of the motivations for it, possible candidates, and other coaches that could be on the hot seat (43:50). They then talk biggest wins (52:24), review some surprising updates to the AP Top 25 (01:10:50), and finally end with a little sneak peak into the early spreads for Week 8.

The guys start things off with a recap of Thursday Night Football where a pair of rookies in Dart and Skatteboo dominate in a convincing win over the Philadelphia Eagles. They then talk a little baseball with Rome being pumped his Dodgers escaping a close game to close out the Phillies and move on to the NLCS (15:33) and the sports world being gifted a couple of deciding Game 5's in both remaining series in the AL & NLDS. Then it's onto the lines for the NFL Week 6 (29:47) where they start with the early Sunday morning game in London before breaking down every other game with picks and predictions. Rome, Aaron, and Jaeson kick off this college football focused podcast with lots of emotions and personal jabs all over the place, maybe because Rome is dealing with a shredded knee. They then talk a little Westgate Super Contest before resuming recapping the previous week with a little meltdown over Texas' loss to Florida (05:57), Penn State's loss and Franklins' ridiculous buyout (23:34) and a review of the AP Top 25. Rome jumps out of the gate with a quick overall recap of the Singapore Grand Prix before Jaeson provides a further in-depth breakdown of some of the bigger storylines that unfolded this past weekend. From Williams DQ's in qualifying to Lando Norris' rare aggressive start that ruffled McLaren teammate and Drivers' points leader Oscar Piastri and his fans online, it looks like the drama is about to pick up for the final six races for the 2025 season.

With the Thursday Night Football game between the 49ers and Rams playing out in the background, they start the Sunday morning slate of games which kicks off with Vikings and Browns in London (04:12). They then follow with the afternoon games (25:12), Sunday night game with Patriots versus Bills (37:41), before wrapping up with the Monday night matchup between Chiefs and Jaguars (40:36). Unfortunately for Rome, he reveals his updated "Power 8" rankings which features the Rams who happened to just suffer a big defeat at home to the resilient 49ers (47:07). Rome and Aaron first recap week four in college football which featured some tough wins like Michigan in Lincoln, Nebraska; and unsuspecting whippings such as Indiana versus Illinois. Just like many teams in the first week of action in the NFL, the pod came out stumbling with some technical difficulties with Rome's internet going out and a full 30 minutes of recording gone! So it's all Rome to kick things off with a recap of the Monday Night thriller at Soldier Field with McCarthy and the Vikings coming from behind to stun Jaeson's Bears, then onto another stunner Sunday night with Ravens & Bills (06:05) and the rest of Sunday's games after. Then Aaron and Jaeson join Rome for Week 1 over-reactions (27:35) before recapping a blow-out Week 2 in college football (51:41) and ending with a two man recap of F1 Italian GP when Rome disappears once again into the darkness (01:03:15).
