It's officially official, the NFL season is underway which means the guys will be covering NFL lines every week for the rest of the regular season! As they are watching the Eagles and Cowboys game live with the weather delay, they start with Friday nights game in Brazil (08:43) before covering the rest of the slate of games on Sunday (11:09), Sunday afternoon (35:03), Sunday night (52:33), and Monday nights Vikings v Bears (55:20). Rome, Aaron, and Jaeson jump right into the NBA free-agency frenzy and what has been developing into a very active offseason for the association as we enter the new year, LeBron drama and fake trade proposals before Rome talks about his first WNBA game with his daughter (41:28). The guys then recap F1's Austrian GP and Lando Norris' big win (46:33), Verstappen to Mercedes rumors before Jaeson gives us a review of Brad Pitt's new F1 movie and where it might rank in Pitt movies (01:06:06). Rome, Aaron, and Jaeson jump on for an emergency pod to recap Game 7 of the NBA Finals. With everything still being fresh from Haliburton going down minutes into the game, to SGA finding other ways to help will the Thunder to victory, the guys even talk a little bit about the future and whether OKC is built for a potential dynasty run in the new-age NBA, and who can possibly challenge them next year (22:03). Rome, Aaron, and Jaeson jump on the pod for instant reactions for Game 3 of the NBA Finals, with Indiana coming through in the clutch again to take a 2-1 lead. They then recap Game 3 of the Stanley Cup Finals with Edmonton determined to break penalty minutes in the lopsided loss to Florida (16:57). Rome then recaps the French Open with Gauff finally breaking through on clay and about the new rising kings in tennis, with Alcaraz coming from behind to defeat Sinner in an epic instant classic for the French Open (27:47). The guys get right into it with a recap Game 2 of the Stanley Cup minutes after the game ends in another dramatic finish after Game 1. They then talk NBA Finals with another epic showdown and last minute win from the Indiana Pacers after Game 1 (25:43). The guys officially come back from a not so planned month-long hiatus with a full recap of all things with the NBA and NHL playoffs. First they recap the NBA playoffs with what they got wrong and right before laying down some NBA Finals predictions (19:50) and a little conspiracy theory with Dallas winning the top pick in the upcoming draft (27:50). They then do a quick recap of the NHL playoffs and preview the Stanley Cup with Edmonton v Florida (32:19), before talking about the sports coverage and what's to be on TNT (46:31). Jaeson recaps his trip and time at the Indy 500 (52:57) before the guys go over the last three F1 races and the battle for first within McLaren. This is the "Better Late Than Ever" pod as it was lost for a month before reappearing on the night the guys got back together to record their first pod after a month hiatus (check out the next episode!). In the lost pod, guys kick off with immediate reactions from Game 2 of Timberwolves v Warriors, recap of the first round of NBA playoffs, plus the guys give Rome a hard time with the Lakers being eliminated in the first round.
