Al Snow was recently interviewed for www.TheHannibalTV.com shoot interview series about his feelings on Billy Corgan's aquisition of the NWA.  Al Snow had quite a bit to say.  To hear the entire interview please visit thehannibaltv.com. "This is something I never understood about the NWA. They would put the title on, not disparaging anyone... They'd put it on Tim Storm. They put it on Adam Pearce. If I'm the general fan, I don't know who those guys are. If I see the NWA World Champion on a poster and I see so and so...I'm not compelled to buy a ticket. If I see NWA World Heavyweight Champion Billy Gunn, I know who Billy Gunn is. I'm more compelled to buy a ticket. Because that name has brand awareness to it." Tonight DKM, Jaden, and Jay Cal debate the merrit of what Al Snow is saying.  Do you agree?  Do you disagree?  Where do you stand?  Call in and weigh in on this discussion.  (657) 383-1543 To listen to the full interview go to thehannibaltv.com

Talking NWA

2017-10-1244:00

It's a new day for the NWA and we will being talking to David Lagana about the plans he and Billy Corgan have for the brand.
On the first installment of "On the Road..." Darryl and Jay Cal we are in mid-chat about Monty Brown and if he should have been given a run with the NWA Worlds Heavyweight Championship.  From there we talk about Impact Booking.  We bounce back in forth talking about who we consider legitimate draws.  Who we'd pay money to see and more.
Few have worn as many hats in the world of professional wrestling that Bill Behrens.  From 2002 through 2004, Behrens was the president of the National Wrestling Alliance.  While acting as president, Behrens was the owner operator of NWA Wildside, operating out of Cornelia Georgia, NWA Wildside was known for starting the careers of AJ Styles, Ron Killings, and showcasing the top indy talent in the country.  300 Consecutive weeks of Syndicated television aired before the promotion closed its doors in 2005.  Behrens continued to work closely with NWA Anarchy (the promotion that took the place of Wildside.)  Behren talks about his history in the wrestling business, television syndication, the National Wrestling Alliance, and also spoke at length of the business of wrestling.  I humbly believe this is probably the best episode for people looking into starting in the wrestling business.  Behren’s had worked with the WWE as well as TNA in various roles.  And on the Independent Wrestling Scene, Behren’s has worked as a producer, a promoter, and currently heads the Show Business Inc., Wrestling Booking Agency.  When Bill Behren’s joins the Alliance Guys Podcast Saturday June 15 we look forward to speaking about the business side of wrestling.  How to quantify success in independent wrestling?  Is promoting wrestling as easy as we (the fans) all think?  Which talents he represents?  And we’ll be discussing his thoughts on working with the National Wrestling Alliance, the Allied Independent Wrestling Federation, and other such wrestling alliances.
This episode was supposed to feature B-Boy who had really reinvented himself in Southern California and was tearing up the scene.  Unfortunately B-Boy stiffed us.  It's all good B-Boy, we're still good.  So we took this time to eulogize the passing of the man known around the world as Doink the Clown in the World Wrestling Federation, but to NWA fans around the world, he was known as "Maniac" Matt Borne. We also talk about upcoming events in our local areas.   The show later focuses on  Wrestling Cares, a tournament, "Race for the Ring" located in Southern California that featured B-Boy, which he was coming on to promote.  Along with talents from across the states including Johnny Gargano, Adam Pearce, Adam Cole, and a lot of top tier talent.   We'd later get on to what we thought about the resurgence of the "Territory System." We got a phone call from the "Canadian Lion" Lance Erickson.  We started talking about the formation of Lords of KAOS, NWA Mid-Atlantic, the NWA Mid-Atlantic Championship, Matt Eppling, Cucumber and Company, and more.
NWA Texas Heavyweight Champion Lance Hoyt joined Alliance Radio to discuss his upcoming title defense against NWA Houston Champion Scot Summers.  Summers and Hoyt would go on to fued over the NWA World Tag Team Championship as the Killer Elite Squad ( a member of New Japan's Suzuki-gun) would feud with the Kingz of the Underground over the NWA World Tag Titles.  Hoyt previously held the NWA World Tag Titles with Kid Kash.  On this episode we speak about his upcoming match with Summers, his time in the WWE, his time in TNA including the Rock N Rave Infection as well what his plans were for New Japan.
Only six months into the NWA World Jr. Heavyweight Champions reign and he has already made defenses all over his home state of Florida, Puerto Rico, and in Japan for ZERO1. The NWA World Jr. Heavyweight Champion puts his tile on the line this Saturday against a man he is all too familiar with Lince Dorado at NWA Florida's Subtle Hustle. Before Classic defends his title, we talk about his return to Japan, his thoughts on the New Japan Super Juniors Tournament, and where he is taking the Clover Leaf Belt this year.
Arrogance personified, but with ability to back up every single word, the “Greek God” Papadon has been honing his craft in the North East for the past 13 years.  Papadon has held Championships in ECWA, JAPW, NYWC, and previously held the now defunct NWA Shockwave Internet Championship and Heavyweight Championship Titles, while a major player for NWA Cyberspace and was the 2012 ECWA Super 8 Tournament Champion.  These accolades and accomplishments are well deserved but Papadon has frequently asked for his opportunity to challenge for the NWA Worlds Heavyweight Championship.  On Saturday, we will ask the fierce competitor his thoughts on Rob Conway the current NWA World Heavyweight Champion and Adam Pearce, the former 5 time NWA World Heavyweight Champion.  We’ll ask him thoughts on receiving an opportunity to compete for the NWA World Heavyweight Championship last year to fill the vacant title, the current NWA and its lack of membership in the North East.  We’ll talk to Papadon about working with EVOLVE, Extreme Rising, ECWA and the Super 8, Anthony Nese and working with DAWG.  We’ll also ask him about his opportunity to compete for Wrestling Cares at Mid Atlantic Memories August 3 in Charlotte against Micha Taylor.  All of this and more, you will not want to miss it.
What are the images that pop into your head when you think of Godzilla?  How about a Giant?  How about Destruction or Devastation?  If you can pull off a nickname that includes Godzilla, it means that you are one bad dude.  “The Vanilla Godzilla” Jax Dane lives up the reputation of being big, hard to stop, and leaves a path of destruction where ever he goes.  Whether teaming with Rowe or as a singles wrestler is making a big name for himself in Texas When Jax joins the show we’ll talk about how Bryon Wilcot robbed the “Vanilla Godzilla” of his Lonestar Heavyweight Championship when Wilcot pinned  “Cowboy” James Claxon at the most recent NWA Houston Event.  We’ll ask the reigning Branded Outlaw of Wrestling Champion about his upcoming match on August 17 against former WWE and ROH Wrestler Charlie Haas.   We will inquire about Dane’s recent debut at NWA SAW, reuniting the Path of Resistance. We’ll also discuss the NWA World Champion and Jax’s close friend Rob Conway, who won the championship subbing for an injured Dane.  Since becoming Champion, Conway has travel to Japan to defend the title twice; we’ll ask Dane what it was like to be in Conway’s corner in Japan.  Plus we’ll discuss what is going on in his home state of Texas, his thoughts on the current top contenders in the NWA and his future plans, including if he has any plans to challenge his close friend.
Sometimes in wrestling you can find a true journeyman who is impressive wrestling skills make him in demand all over the country. Vordell Walker is one of those rare breed. Vordell wrestles in promotions as far north as New Jersey, As far South as Florida, as far west as California & pretty much every state in between. The reason he boasts one of the most impressive & balanced skill sets in the sport & is known nation wide for being able to bring the very best out of who ever he is inside the squared circle with. It does not matter if you are seeing him tear down the house in NWA SAW, or making the legends & big name talent shine in Ring Warriors this former NWA National Champion is truly one of the shining lights this great sport has to offer. This didn't go as planned.  This was supposed to be our GRAND return to the podcasting world of Blog Talk Radio, with the President of Fight! Nation Billy Wood.  Things didn't work out so well for us, it being Midnight in the UK, Mr. Wood was fast asleep.  So a bit of improvisation, which really was terrible was used to try and make the best of it.  Bite Chew Swallow... Making Lemonade.  Enjoy, or don't.  It really was bad.  But we had fun doing it.
Standing at 6 feet and weighing 200lbs, Tyler Cintron debut at CWF Hollywood with quite the chip on his shoulder.  Proclaiming from his first day that he would be on the marquee, Cintron goaded Willie Mack into a no rules bout with Willie Mack.  The only person who wasn't shocked to see Cintron defeat Mack in a Hollywood Street Fight for the CWF Hollywood Television Championship was Cintron himself.  However, if you knew Tyler Cintron... maybe that isn't all that surprise after all.  March 31st 2012, Tyler Cintron tasted championship gold defeating Cassidy in Salt Lake City, Utah at the UCW-Zero 10th Anniversary Show.  And until April 6th, Cintron was the NRW Heavyweight Champion in the Mile High State.   With Championship Wrestling from Hollywood expanding it's television avenues beyond Los Angeles, the TV Champion Citron will now be defending his championship on Nationally Broadcasted Television. When Cintron joins us Saturday, April 20th at 10:30 Pacific, 1:30pm Eastern we'll talk to the champ about working in Utah, Colorado, and Hollywood.  We'll also talk to Cintron about his plans for the CWF Hollywood Red Carpet Rumble.  We'll also find out what it's like being a "Navajo Guy."
