Description

Whatcha Thinkin' Friend is the next chapter for The Lads you’ve come to know and love from the DLBCast . Sure, they’ve grown up—well, at least in age, but don’t expect much maturity here. Now well into their 40s, these two are still embracing the fine art of adulting… badly. Each episode dives into their unfiltered takes on life, friendships, the aging process (and the denial of it), and whatever chaos catches their attention. If you're looking for laughs, questionable advice, and a reminder that age doesn’t always come with wisdom,
Whatcha Thinkin' Friend is your go-to for lighthearted, hilarious banter.

Yep, a bonus episode! We pick a fight with the internet. Yeah, we know this will not end well for the two of us. Just hang in there and we’ll tell you why.

Ed and Cody are back—whether you wanted them to be or not—for another episode of Whatcha Thinkin' Friend? where they ask the deep questions like:   Is this the age of the music industry... or  age of the listener?    Cody takes a stroll down memory lane (again) to the golden age of Billings concerts, back when no-one cared about alarms, or was that couldn’t hear them???    We also get another “People Need to Be Better” story, starring Cody and Ace. It’s part venting session, part life lesson,.   Cody Turning 40, hits different, and Cody is feeling it. Existential dread? Check. Back pain? Probably. Welcome to the club, buddy. finally, Ed and Cody try to figure out what the hell is going on in baseball. Why are the scores looking like NFL games? Spoiler: it’s not because anyone got better.
In episode 4 of Whatcha Thinkin' Friend?, The Lads catch up and take aim at the absolute nonsense that is daylight savings time. Seriously… WTF?   We dive back into the ongoing Tesla soap opera—do we protect it or not? Why is that even a question?   Then there’s Nickelback 3.0… yep, the tour is real. We swear we had nothing to do with this. We break down the Summer of '99 and Beyond tour: Nickelback and Creed teaming up like it’s a 2003 truck commercial.   Meanwhile, Cody debates going to see Run the Jewels—but also kind of doesn't want to curse the world again. Last time he bought tickets in 2020, the universe imploded and the show got canceled. Coincidence? He thinks not.   …And much, much more from the Lads you’ve grown to love!

Whatcha Thinkin' Friend? Podcast - The “A Cold 4 Years” Episode…   Well, well, well… look who finally decided to release a podcast. Nearly a month later! Ed, buddy, we love you, but damn, at this rate, we might need to hire a new audio editor. Maybe one who doesn’t treat our episodes like fine wine, aging them before release.   But hey, here it is, and it’s a doozy.   This time, the lads go on a completely measured and totally reasonable rant about the f*ckstick that is DJT. Because, honestly… WTF?! How does this clown keep making headlines? Make it make sense! Spoiler: it doesn’t.   We also dive into the pressing, world-altering mystery: What the hell is Kid Rock doing these days? (Besides hoarding Bud Light cans to shoot at in his backyard while pretending he's still relevant.)   And, of course, we share our collective disappointment in what used to be America the Beautiful—or at least America we hated slightly less. Seriously, where did we go wrong? When did everything turn into a satire of itself?   Oh, and speaking of tragic things, we cooked up the ultimate nightmare concert experience—a Nickelback and Creeddouble feature! Because nothing screams "bad life choices" like willingly subjecting yourself to two bands that refuse to stay in the early 2000s where they belong. But wait! Who would open for this abomination of a show? Hinder? Maybe Puddle of Mudd? Or, God forbid, Limp Bizkit?! Whatever it is, it’ll be a fever dream of regrettable nostalgia.   So grab a drink, sit down, and prepare to feel slightly worse about the world—but in a way that makes you laugh (or cry… or both).

Cody and Ed are back, tackling the hard-hitting topics you didn’t know you needed: The Internet’s Most Hated Concert/Bands: Who’s bad enough to open for them? Name That Price: Just how much did Ed fork over for Linkin Park tickets? Spoiler: it’s debatable. Story Time with Cody: Not one, but two stories—because why stop at one? Vegas Ground Tips: Surviving concerts in the heat, because apparently, that’s a thing. Killing Boxes in Billings Streets: Yes, you read that right. The Internet of Things: LP singers, CEOs, and memes… because the internet never disappoints (or does it?).
When We Were Young

When We Were Young

Welcome to the very first episode of Whatcha Thinkin’ Friend?—the podcast where Cody and Ed, your favorite lads from that one podcast that may or may not have existed for years, reunite to bring you the same great banter, just with a little more mileage and (maybe) maturity.   In this debut episode, Cody and Ed catch up after a long hiatus (it’s been since May, no big deal). They dive into some political chatter that’s been on their minds, dish on the When We Were Young and Sick New World festivals happening in early 2025, and debate which headlining male fronted bands they’d replace with kickass female-fronted groups (because we all know the festivals could use a bit more balance). Same lame jokes, just with a fresh coat of paint. They’ll also tease what’s coming next: Cody’s top tips for Las Vegas festival-goers, concerts in the new year, and a look back at the best concerts of 2024. Tune in and let the lads know—Whatcha Thinkin’?
