Description

Welcome to KMUD’s special series celebrating Women’s History Month! Throughout history, women have led, innovated, and broken barriers, in every field—often against the odds. In these two-minute segments, the women of KMUD will shine a light on inspiring women whose impact continues to shape our world.

From Babe Didrikson, one of the greatest athletes of the 20th century, to Maya Angelou, the groundbreaking author of I Know Why the Caged Bird Sings, and from Sojourner Truth, a fearless activist for African American civil rights in the 1800s, to Kathleen Hanna, the trailblazing pioneer of feminist punk, we uncover the stories of women who made history and continue to inspire future generations!
