Calling all courtroom drama enthusiasts! We've got what may be the trial of 2025 on our hands. It's petty, it's political, and it may leave you hungry. Welcome to the Sandwich Trial of Sean Dunn, where a Subway sandwich became the centerpiece of a federal criminal case.
But first, Trevin has been hanging around local open mics and is feeling closer than ever to trying stand-up comedy for the first time. Meanwhile, Amanda has a pet dilemma: her geriatric dog, Reptar, keeps lying under the porch and making everyone think he's missing. He's not lost. He's just committed to the bit.
For Crime Quickies, Amanda brings us two crimes with very different flavors. First, Abdul Rasheed allegedly fakes a medical emergency to skip out on a Red Lobster bill, proving that some people will do anything to avoid paying for seafood. Then we travel back to 1959 California, where dentist Dr. William Shyne reportedly hands out heart-shaped laxatives to children for Halloween. Nothing says spooky season quite like a dentist with questionable judgment.
Then it's time for the main event: the Government vs. Sandwich trial. Trevin breaks down the case of Sean Dunn, a Department of Justice employee arrested after allegedly assaulting a U.S. Customs and Border Protection agent with a Subway sandwich. Now he's facing a misdemeanor charge, and the question is whether this case can stand up in court—or whether the whole thing is a giant nothingburger.
For trivia, Trevin digs into the history of the sandwich, including its origins in Sandwich, Kent, England, and the Earl of Sandwich whose favorite pastime supposedly inspired one of the world's most convenient meals.
Finally, Amanda takes us into the dark history of Julius Caesar's assassination. What became of the original site where Caesar was murdered? The answer is weird enough to deserve its own dramatic reenactment.

Beauty is only skin-deep, but the pettiness is on full display in this episode of Live, Laugh, Larceny, featuring the bizarre blackmail scandal surrounding the 2007 Miss New Jersey pageant.
But first, Trevin takes a staycation to recharge and discovers his car battery has decided it can no longer hold a charge. With car trouble in the air, Amanda faces a chiropractic dilemma of her own. She needs to see a chiropractor and has consequently fallen down the YouTube rabbit hole of chiropractic videos, including the deeply strange world of horse chiropractors.
For Crime Bites, Trevin brings us a bizarre two-part saga from Fort Wayne, Indiana. Christopher Michael Peden cuts off his own penis, douses it in gasoline, and sets it on fire in his mother's garage. Somehow, that isn't the end of the story. A few months later, his brother James Peden sets Christopher's car on fire. These brothers have a fascinating definition of family bonding.
Then Amanda takes us back to the 2007 Miss New Jersey pageant and its winner, Amy Polumbo. What starts as the glamorous dream of becoming a beauty queen turns into a blackmail scandal involving supposedly "racy" photographs, the loss of her crown, and a mysterious group calling itself the Committee to Save Miss America. But who were they, and what exactly did they want from Miss New Jersey?
For Two Truths and a Lie, Amanda introduces three of the strangest pageants imaginable: the Miss Mosquito Legs Pageant, the Armpit Queen Pageant, and Miss Yellow Teeth. They all sound completely made up. Unfortunately, reality has once again out-weirded us.
And Trevin closes things out with his own Two Truths and a Lie about nudity, covering YMCA dress codes for boys, Ivy League posture photos, and Queen's iconic "Bicycle Race."

Holler, baller! The NFL season is back, and so is another football-themed episode of Live, Laugh, Larceny. This week, we try something new: one fewer story, but two extra crimes.
Trevin arrives late to recording after a nightmare scenario involving the Twin Peaks waitress assigned to his fantasy football draft. Meanwhile, Amanda's grandma has discovered the Live, Laugh, Larceny Instagram Reels and apparently believes her granddaughter is the cackling woman who hosts the show.
In Crime Articles, Amanda digs into a viral pizza scam where employees allegedly cut thin slices from the middle of pizzas for themselves before boxing up the rest for customers. Then we get into the bizarre world of Laura Owens, whose alleged fake pregnancies, love contracts, and elaborate scams are explored in the investigative podcast Love Trapped.
For the main story, Trevin tells the incredible tale of Luther Davis (with partner CJ Evins), a former Crimson Tide college football champion with his sights set on greatness. But when his friends start getting drafted into the NFL, his quest for millions takes a decidedly unconventional turn involving wigs, makeup, impersonation, and a scammer's mentality.
Killer Facts keeps us on the football field with a look at NFL players and bankruptcy, including how quickly professional football fortunes can disappear and the absurd financial stories of Vince Young, Mark Brunell, and Dan Marino.
