Carolina Hurricanes local legend Cam Gross—aka the Stanley Bullet—joins us for Episode 53. We first met Cam through Instagram before linking up during our trip to North Carolina to sell Gross Hockey hats. He showed us the ropes around Raleigh and helped turn the trip into a legendary weekend with Canes fans, local beauties and even a few players. Cam takes us inside the weekend at Teets, partying with the players at an after-party and the story behind his Stanley Bullet alter ego: a Hurricanes-themed cap and gown featuring Mike Commodore’s “In One” phrase. We also relive the night Cam jumped onstage with Logan Stankoven and his teammates, gave Stankoven his own cap and gown—and later watched him crowdsurf in it. Plus, we catch up on Cam’s offseason, his local-legend status and whether the Hurricanes have what it takes to make another serious run at the Stanley Cup next season.
