In this Author Talk, we had the opportunity to hear from Associate Professor Nancy Cushing. Nancy provided an engaging talk, deftly exploring the history of pet keeping in Australia, what it means to have a pet, and how that relationship has changed over time. Nancy recounted the brave story of Valerie. The miniature dachshund who was lost on Kangaroo Island, a particularly intriguing story and gathered many gasps and giggles from the audience!
