The Chasing Green Podcast

A recent clip i seen of Jase Robertson talking about Arkansas Style of duck calling inspired this episode. I dive into what arkansas style of duck calling is and why I think its the best. I also give some tips on how to read ducks and some general duck calling tips.

I detail a hunt I've been working on for the youtube channel that is from a few years ago in what I think of as my favorite period of my personal duck hunting. I also dive into a study I recently ran across that looked into how weather affects mallard migration.

Brent Birch from the Standard Sportsman Podcast joins me today to talk about how duck hunting has changed across Arkansas and the broader flyways, especially through habitat loss, changing agriculture, pressure, and declining public-land quality. I also quickly go over the recent waterfowl population survey that was released recently.

Ramsey Russell from Get Ducks joins me to talk about his journey into the waterfowl world. We then dive into deeper topics like the division in duck hunting right now, the dangers we face moving forward, what the future might look like. I also touch on the non resident restrictions recently put in place in Kansas.

I sit with fellow-filmer Cade Trickey and learn about how his bare bones approach works so well for him on public land. We also dive into why he films and how the next generation is being brought into the duck world.  Patreon: https://www.patreon.com/c/ChasingGreen  Prairie Drifters (My Guide Service): https://www.huntprairiedrifters.com/  My Public Land Course: https://www.chasinggreencourse.com  High N Dry Waders: https://www.hndoutdoors.com/  TideWe 18% Discount: CGO18 https://bit.ly/464El0u   Shotty Gear: https://shottygear.com/
