Two and a half years into running Solbrite Studio, I’m making a small, but impactful pivot, and I wanted to tell you about it while it’s still happening. I talk about why I started feeling boxed in by the usual brand design model (logo files, website launch, done), the imposter syndrome that still shows up for me every single day, and something I kept seeing with clients: they’d finally get the rebrand of their dreams and then keep hiding anyway. That pattern is what shaped my offers: Brand in Full Color, a brand experience that pairs brand strategy and visual identity with mindset work. Content creation and strategy that gives you a plan you feel good about and excited to do.I’m talking about:What two and a half years in business taught me about trusting yourself over all the “shoulds” from mentors, programs, and your own industryThe internal war that so often comes after a beautiful rebrand, and why so many founders still don’t show up in theirsHow I went from hiding behind carousels of client work to talking on camera and on this podcast every weekWhy social media has become the place people find youYour homework: Open your notes app and answer this: if you could build your business your dream way, without looking at what anyone else in your industry is doing, what would it look like? Who would you work with, what would you want to be known for, and how would your days feel?If you’re ready to stop hiding behind your brand and start showing up in it, you can learn more about Brand in Full Color or book a 90-minute strategy session! Find you content style: https://solbritestudio.myflodesk.com/content-style-quiz Learn more about our services: https://solbritestudio.com/services Apply to work with me: https://solbritestudio.com/contact Free Resources: https://solbritestudio.com/free-resources Connect:Website: https://solbritestudio.com/ Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/solbritestudio/ Pinterest: https://www.pinterest.com/solbritestudio/ Blog: https://solbritestudio.com/blog/ Want to be a guest? → https://docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1FAIpQLScasHhwefUF5xcFhwlD3Nejt6SUeYgmnCxsJowppc9bkFJ2sQ/viewform If you loved this episode, please subscribe, rate, and review the podcast! In today's episode, I am chatting with Carrie Montgomery, the founder of Hypnotic Branding -- a brand strategy approach that treats the nervous system and subconscious as the real architecture of a brand. This episode was truly incredible as we talked about the link between the nervous system and personal branding and how design can really be felt and interpreted through the body. As a designer, I was obsessed with everything in this conversation, especially when it came to how design evokes emotion and how those emotions help buyers make a decision. We talked about how so many founders end up building a brand that is a complete mismatch from who they are as they try to do what is working for others in the industry. We get into why this is, what this is actually telling you about your subconscious mind, and how founders can navigate this. Carrie also walks us through the exact drills she uses to calm her nervous system before getting on camera as well as, some other helpful tips for founders that would rather not be the face of their brand. We cover:How the body holds on to things we experience and how those experiences can affect how we show up in our businessesWhy trying to mimic or recreate a brand you admire never works long termHow design affects buyers decisions through a felt sense What's actually happening in your body when you're camera shy, and the specific drills she teaches clients to build capacity for visibilityHow to know if you need a personal brand and what to do if you're a founder who doesn't want to be the face of your brandCONNECT WITH CARRIEhttps://www.carriemontgomery.com/Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/realcarriemontgomery/Freebie: https://www.carriemontgomery.com/free-centering-medLearn more about Brand in Full Color: https://solbritestudio.com/servicesApply to work with me: https://solbritestudio.com/contactFree Resources: solbritestudio.com/free-resourcesConnect:Website: solbritestudio.comInstagram: @solbritestudioPinterest: @solbritestudioBlog: https://solbritestudio.com/blog/ Want to be a guest? → Schedule an interviewIf you loved this episode, please subscribe, rate, and review the podcast!
