Send us Fan Mail Johnny Cage barely makes it out of the starting gate, the plot sprints like it is late for a bus, and the CGI somehow looks like it time-traveled from an older console generation. We sit down to rewatch Mortal Kombat Annihilation and figure out how a sequel to a decent 1995 video game movie adaptation turns into such a baffling 1997 action fantasy mess. We talk through the biggest whiplash moments: the mass recasting, the rapid-fire character introductions, and the way...

Send us Fan Mail Green Lantern should be huge, cosmic, and loud, right? HBO Max’s Lanterns goes the other way, and that’s exactly why we can’t stop talking about it. We break down how the DCU turns Hal Jordan and John Stewart into the center of a rural, grounded mystery that plays like a detective story with a power ring, not a space opera with endless lore dumps. We hit play on Ghostbusters (1984) and try to answer a tougher question: does it still work in 2026, or are we just running on nostalgia and a perfect theme song? We talk through why the original Ghostbusters remains a comfort watch and a legit piece of smart blockbuster craft. The mix of paranormal horror, dry comedy, and fast moving plot still clicks, and the “science” sells i...
