The cool fall weather has arrived and round up season is nearing. For the NBA, fall also means an annual legislative round up in Washington, D.C. NBA Executive Director Jim Matheson joins the program to recap another successful trip. Following that, we're going to dive into bison history with Rhonda Frasier of the All About Bison page and talk about her hard work to bring it all to life. Jud Seaman of Quality Auction Services kicks things off with a recap of current bison markets.
Author, former bison rancher and warden with Parks Canada, Wes Olson, joins the program to discuss his new book—Guardians of the Buffalo: The Essential Guide to Bison Care. He'll provide insights insights into caring for bison and share personal stories from his time working with herds across Canada. Listen along as Jud Seaman of Quality Auction Services discusses the latest USDA bison meat reports.  Order the new book here.
The bison industry, and greater conservation movement, lost an icon with the passing of Ted Turner at the age of 87. On this episode, we honor his life and legacy with conversations featuring Jud Seaman of Quality Auction Services, Eva & Keith Yearout of Turner's Z-Bar Ranch, along with Dusty Hepper of Turner's Bad River Ranch.
This episode features Jud Seaman of Quality Auction Services who gives us a rundown of what he's gleaned from the latest USDA meat report. After that, we travel from South Dakota to North Dakota to check in with Conner Buchholz of Skull Creek Bison to get his thoughts on how people can best select animals to fit their operational goals.
Jud Seaman of Quality Auction Services and Brennin Jack of the Jack Auction group break down and analyze auctions that have taken place since January. The two auctioneers also provide context to what we're seeing in today's marketplace.
