Tired of the corporate BS, "gurus" and trends that don't make sense? Same here. Business is Bullshit is our way of calling it out.
Every couple of weeks, the three of us — Jon, James, and Jared — break down the dumbest stories, trends and personalities in the business world. We get into everything from broken work culture, bad tech takes to tone-deaf regulations, cringe "thought leaders" and anything "business."
No fluff. No hype. Just straight talk, real takes, and a little well-earned cynicism.

You pay every month. Then you need it, and suddenly there's a reason you're not covered. In Episode 41 of Business Is Bullshit, we get into denied claims, prescription runarounds, Florida's homeowners insurance mess, and dental coverage that's basically prepaid teeth cleaning. Insurance makes sense. Fighting to use something you already paid for? That's where the bullshit starts. At least the commercials are good. Some of them. Everyone's a content creator. Somehow, nobody has anything new to say. In Episode 40 of Business Is Bullshit, we get into stolen ideas, AI slop, fake reviews, and the endless fight to keep you scrolling. What makes content worth your time? And how much of your day are you giving away to absolute garbage? Then we check our own screen time. That part gets uncomfortable. Yes, we made content about how content is bullsh*t. We're aware. Airlines figured out how to charge you extra to hate them less. We get into shrinking seats, endless delays, Southwest killing its perks, and the business of making coach miserable. Plus, James explains how he keeps getting first-class upgrades while the rest of us fight for an armrest. Air Travel Is Bullsh*t. Remain seated. Customer service isn't bullshit. The way most companies do it is. We get into fraud departments that make you investigate your own fraud, companies that bury you in transfers, employees with zero authority, and why the simplest thing a business can do is still the thing most of them screw up: respond, communicate and actually give a shit. Plus, the companies that get it right, the customers who ruin it for everyone else, and why "the customer is always right" is bullshit too. College used to be sold as the obvious path to a better life. Now? The cost keeps climbing, the value keeps getting harder to prove, and a lot of graduates are walking away with debt, a credential, and no clear path to use either one. In this episode, James, Jared, and Jon go after the modern college machine: runaway tuition, student loans, broken incentives, useless credentials, outdated curriculums, administrative bloat, and the cultural brainwashing that tells kids they're failures if they don't get a degree. They also argue the other side: college can still matter. The experience, the network, the structure, and certain careers still make it valuable. But the days of blindly telling every 18-year-old to borrow six figures and "figure it out later" should be over. College isn't always bullsh*t. But the way we sell it, finance it, and worship it? Absolute bullsh*t.
