Hot Pot Poddie

Giddy up it’s time to go! Welcome to an all new episode of Hot Pot Poddie Podcast, where we discuss all things women in music. Jenn Tatro  and Brooke Holman, serve as your hosts for all these adventures with ladies in music. We searched far, and we searched wide for this talented musician Ren Ash, from St. Louis, Missouri who made Colorado her home in December 2015. Immediately after moving, she got to work creating her band Plasma Canvas. Over the next ten years, her band would go on to become a local legend, inspiring people of all backgrounds with their powerful live show and vulnerable lyrics. As a trans woman, her music has always resonated with other trans and queer people, and their shows became a safe place for the community. Plasma Canvas continues to weather the storm of being a DIY punk band. Although currently inactive, they are far from being done and from being loud. In 2025, Ren started making and releasing music under the name L13S [pronounced "lies -This marked a new era of creative exploration for her. Her upcoming album "And Slander For All”- coming this fall - is influenced by everything from Ke$ha, Nine Inch Nails, to Chappell Roan and Sabrina Carpenter. The top singles "MY NAME IS L13S", "I WANNA RIDE", and "UNDERGROUND" leave no uncertainty about who L13S is - a big, dumb, loud party-girl character, created in the full embrace of Ren's love for pop songwriting with lots of layers, both in production and lyricism."Please welcome to the show, Ren Ash From the bands L!3S and Plasma Canvas L13S Band https://linktr.ee/l13s.music?utm_source=linktree_profile_shareNew Self Titled L13S EP https://open.spotify.com/album/0MCCZ2a6ess8FlLO7UDoin?si=_6a_pNltTDuvyVOxNHLAsA&utm_source=copy-linkL13S Insta https://www.instagram.com/l13s.music?stkn=MWo1eDA3ZGY1aHMybA==Plasma Canvas Insta https://www.instagram.com/plasmacanvas?stkn=ankyemVuMnlzaXhnFacebook Ren Ash https://www.facebook.com/share/1FKhvCsU6Q/?mibextid=wwXIfrPlasma Canvas FB https://www.facebook.com/share/19FBH1skm8/?mibextid=wwXIfrRen Ash Charity of Choice https://www.instagram.com/t4tcaregiving?stkn=bzU0bzRtNXlwdmlx

What in the world? It’s time for another new episode of Hot Pot Poddie Podcast. In this Podcast, we discuss all things women in music. As always, with Jenn Tatro and Brooke Holman as your hosts. Today, our guest comes to you not with a banjo on her knee, but an upright bass in her hands. She is the main keeper of the rhythm and backup vocals for The High Road Home. They are a progressive bluegrass band with a soulful Americana and Folk twist, based in the heart of Colorado. She also plays bass and backup vocals for the band Something To Say. This is a progressive acoustic/string band built on the belief that music creates community. They meet each other where we're at — through tight harmonies, driving rhythms, and the rustic roots of acoustic instruments. When she’s not slapping the bass in these bands, with her upright instrument and singing some vocals, she’s helping out at the Harmony House. Here, she has been assisting for 10 years with the Bluegrass ensemble classes. Please give a warm welcome, to Lena Dow Harmony House https://www.harmonymusichouse.com/Something To Say https://www.somethingtosaymusic.com/Instahttps://www.instagram.com/somethingtosay.music/?utm_source=ig_web_button_share_sheetYouTubehttps://youtu.be/s7lQJMHeY88?si=s0JYWK-CkFWRUcZr Link Treehttps://linktr.ee/somethingtosaymusicThe High Road Home https://thehighroadhome.com/Spotifyhttps://open.spotify.com/album/4kpi1WigsWmZSWTQmBMIpj?si=VOuJcWXTSu-MlE5UPDT__gInstahttps://www.instagram.com/thehighroadhome/?utm_source=ig_web_button_share_sheetLena’s Charity of Choicehttps://coloradoimmigrant.org/

Welcome welcome welcome, to another fantastic episode of Hot Pot Pot Poddie Podcast. Where we discuss all things women in music, with Jenn Tatro and Brooke Holman as your hosts. Son of a gun folks, we have a very talented musician on the docket today.  She is the bassist, vocalist and lyricist in a band called Pink Ranger, whose debut record, Halcyon , explores themes of loss, memory and alternate timelines. A lifelong musician, she tried her darndest to major in music at Smith College, but the rigid confines of music in an academic setting proved a little too soul-crushing for someone who, it turns out, needs her soul. She found her way back to music on her own terms. First, as one half of the electro-pop duo chitchat, and now fronting Pink Ranger, blending indie/alt-rock vibes and introspective lyricism. Based in Denver, she also runs a salon and works as a practicing medium, bringing an interest in the unseen and the emotional undercurrents of life into everything she does. Please welcome to the Show Maddy Kwon "Pink Ranger"https://www.instagram.com/pinkrangerband?stkn=ODQxM3VycG5keHE1https://www.turnandwork.com/music/halcyon/https://pinkranger.band/https://ffm.to/halcyon-prhttps://maddythemedium.com/https://combathumantrafficking.org/
