Highland Christian Church - Asheville, NC Communicator - Jason Garris How citizens of tomorrow live today. The World to Come isn't only something we believe is on its way. It changes us. Scripture: Matthew 6:19–21; 1 Corinthians 15:58; 2 Peter 3:11–13

Highland Christian Church - Asheville, NC Communicator - Jason Garris Why Christians should long for the return of Jesus! The Christian doesn't hear about the return of Jesus and think, "I hope I've been good enough." Our confidence isn't in our ability to survive the judgment. Our confidence is in Christ.

Highland Christian Church - Asheville, NC Communicator - Jason Garris The story of Israel, the nations, and the Messiah… God chooses the ONE to bless EVERYONE. God chose one family so that every family could share in the blessing of His restored world. Scripture: Genesis 12:1–3; Isaiah 49:6; Romans 11; Revelation 7:9–10

Highland Christian Church - Asheville, NC Communicator - Jason Garris We have often reduced Christian hope to “Where do I go when I die?” While our hope can and does answer that critical question, Scripture tells a much bigger story. God is restoring what sin has broken, Jesus’ resurrection has already begun that restoration, and we are living between this age and the age to come. Scripture: John 12:49–50, Matthew 12:28–29, Romans 8:19–24, Revelation 21:1–5

Highland Christian Church - Asheville, NC Communicator - Jason Garris Luke 7:11-23 - "Are you the Messiah or should we be looking for someone else?" Even in doubt and disappointment (when we are most likely to resist Jesus’ lead), Jesus continues to prove He is exactly who we need.
