Description

What if your healing journey isn't just about understanding WHAT happened to you-but learning how to listen to what your body is telling you?

I am Christina, a somatic practitioner, and this podcast is an invitation to slow down, turn inward, and reconnect with the wisdom of the body.

Together, we will explore the places where emotions, experiences, stress, relationships, and old patterns can live in the body, and discover simple, meaningful ways to meet them with curiosity rather than judgement.

This isn't just a podcast about talking about healing.  You will be invited into somatic practices, meditations, reflections, movement, journaling, breath work, and sometime unexpected experiences that help you connect what you know in your mind with what you feel in your body.

You don't have to have it all figured out.

You don't have to be perfectly healed.

You don't even have to know where to begin.

I am inviting you to simply begin to notice.

Awareness is where change begins.

And in this space, I want to give you a safe place to slow down, to feel what you feel without judgement, and to explore what your body might be trying to tell you.  A space where you don't have to have the answers and you can be curious about yourself, reconnect with your body, and perhaps, little by little, a way back to yourself.

Have you ever considered that your anger isn't the problem-but a message? Anger and Resentment can live in the body long after the moment that created them has passed. They show up as tension, exhaustion, irritability, or even in the relationships that matter the most. In this episode, we will explore what happens in the body when anger and resentment build, why anger can sometimes feel easier than sadness, and how unexpressed emotions can keep us stuck in patterns we may not even reali...
Blame can feel like protection. It gives us somewhere to put our anger, hurt and the things that have happened to us that we can't change. But what if holding on to blame is keeping us stuck? In this episode, I explore blame as a "cage" and add some personal stories that I have experienced, spent years placing blame, and eventually took back my power once I finally saw the truth. Through somatic experience, you'll be invited to shift from "Why did this happen to me?" ...
"Letting Go" is one of the hardest things we are ever asked to do. The nervous system can not "Let Go" because we told it to, or one of our loved ones thinks it's been long enough. There is no timeline for healing. AND- sometimes the person we're angry with is no longer here to hear what we needed to say. In this deeply personal episode, I share the story of the anger I carried toward my alcoholic father- and how "Letting Go" became possible when I finally wrote the words I had ...
How often do you tell yourself, "I should be doing more," "I should feel differently," or "I should have figured this out by now"? The word should can seem harmless, but over time, it can become a constant source of pressure, that can create guilt, shame, and the feeling that who we are right now is somehow not enough. In this episode of The Grounding Room, we will explore where the word should might be coming from, and what "shoulding" yourself to death might be doing to your nerv...
