Welcome back to the first episode of season 2 of What's Happening with Emma. I am delighted that the first episode in the new season is in partnership with the Traveller Road to Hope and Change. In this episode, my guests and I will be chatting about the Traveller Road to Hope & Change Campaign and all things Traveller mental health, wellbeing and suicide prevention, and what needs to be done to tackle the mental health and suicide crisis within the Irish Traveller community. I am delighted to be joined by LeeAnna Ward and Ella Louise Ward who are two incredible activists for the community - LeeAnna works with the Galway Traveller Movement and Ella Louise is a content creator and Jigsaw Ireland's first Irish Traveller advisory advocate. Hello!I just wanted to release this very short bonus episode to just say thank you to everyone who appeared on the podcast and who tuned in every time I released an episode, when I first started this podcast I had no idea if it could be a success but with the constant support I got from you all I can confidently say season one was a better success than I imagined. I will be back with a new and improved season two in a few weeks, and in the meantime I would love if you could comment below who you would like to see on the podcast and what topics you would like covered because I want this podcast to be as successful and relevant as possible and the only way that can happen is if you would help me by sending me ideas. Welcome back to the final episode of season 1 of What’s Happening with Emma. I’m your host, Emma Ward, and today I’m joined by Jack Kavanagh.   Jack Kavanagh is a formidable disability rights campaigner and a champion for pushing past barriers society puts in front of people with disabilities. In 2012, Jack’s life changed forever when he sustained a spinal cord injury, leaving him with just 15% muscle function. Rather than letting this define his limits, Jack has since redefined what’s possible, proving that resilience, ambition, and courage can push boundaries beyond expectation. If you enjoyed this episode and would like to show your support, please consider subscribing, liking and sharing the episode. As this is the final episode of season one, I would like to thank each person who tuned in every time I released an episode and who took the time to comment and reach out after listening to all the episodes. I couldn't be more grateful! I will be back with season two in a few weeks, but in the meantime, please listen to all episodes and let me know what you want to see in the newest season! For all relevant information and updates, follow emmawardjournalist on Instagram! Chat to you all soon!
