He Left Finance to Build Boxing Champions… Now He’s Playing on the World Stage 🥊 | Antoine LeonWhat does it really take to build a world champion? It's a whole lot more than throwing punches. 🥊This week on the Nunn Better Podcast, we're sitting down with international boxing manager and matchmaker Antoine Leon, the founder of High Performance Management, to get an inside look at the business of professional boxing. And Antoine's journey to the boxing world is anything but ordinary. After earning advanced degrees in business and finance, playing Division I tennis, and working as a trader and headhunter in the financial industry, Antoine walked away from the corporate world to chase something he was passionate about: boxing. Three years later, he's built an international network, manages fighters competing at the highest levels, and has become one of the leading matchmakers in France and Europe. But getting there wasn't easy. We get into the business behind the fights, what it takes to develop a fighter from the ground up, and why talent alone isn't enough to become a champion. In this episode, we talk about: 🥊 How Antoine went from financial markets to professional boxing.🥊 What a boxing matchmaker actually does — and why it's not what you think!🥊 The 360-degree management approach to building a fighter's career and personal brand.🥊 The financial risks of developing fighters, including losing $30,000 on his first promotional events.🥊 How international boxing is changing and what major new opportunities could mean for fighters.🥊 The influence of Saudi Arabia and the emergence of Zuffa Boxing.🥊 Why the best fighters need more than talent: discipline, confidence, the right team, and a killer mentality.🥊 The realities of managing professional athletes, dealing with setbacks, and investing in people.🥊 Why Antoine believes the people you surround yourself with can determine your success. From the financial world to the fight game, this is a conversation about taking risks, betting on yourself, and refusing to quit when things get tough. And one thing becomes pretty clear: building a champion is about a whole lot more than what happens inside the ring. If you enjoy boxing, entrepreneurship, sports, or hearing the stories behind people who dare to do things differently, this episode is for you. ABOUT OUR GUEST Antoine Leon is an international boxing manager and matchmaker working with fighters, promoters, and organizations across Europe, the United States, Asia, and beyond. His company, now operating under the Purasangre Boxing name, focuses on athlete management, matchmaking, career development, sponsorships, and building fighters into recognizable brands.
