For the final episode of this season, Jo Hutton is joined by trend forecaster and CEO of Trend Bible, Joanna Feeley. Joanna’s career path into trend forecasting led her from working in fashion in the bustling hub of New York City in the 1990s to the North East’s bright lights in Newcastle. Joanna discusses how she was on the brink of burnout and how her ADHD diagnosis (and coach) helped her immensely in finding work systems for her, such as the golden hour for deep thinking. Joanna shares her love of creative endeavours such as making a set of tarot cards for her sister and how mornings at her Dad’s construction site might have had more creativity to them than she originally thought. And the ultimate treat, a full English breakfast at her Grandma’s Bed and Breakfast, after serving all the guests first, of course. 🍳If you’ve enjoyed this season of Before the Work Begins, please rate the show on your favourite podcast app.✨All episodes are also available to watch on our YouTube channel, just search ‘Before the Work Begins Podcast’. 📺Follow Joanna Feeley:Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/trendbible/Website: https://www.trendbible.com/Book: https://www.trendbible.com/trendbooks/trend-leader/LinkedIn: https://www.linkedin.com/in/joanna-feeley/Follow Jo Hutton:Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/johuttonyoga/Substack: https://substack.com/@johuttonyogaYouTube: https://www.youtube.com/@BeforetheWorkBeginsProduced by @moja_socialNew episodes every Wednesday. What do creative people really do before their work begins?Jo Hutton, author of best-selling Substack Yoga for Tired People, sits down with the movers and shakers of the creative industry to find out what their mornings actually look like. This week Jo Hutton is joined by writer and author of Home Matters, Penny Wincer. Penny chats about swapping fifteen years as an interiors photographer for a writing career she runs from her kitchen table and why she stopped measuring her mornings against everybody else’s. They discuss caring for her son, why flexibility rather than routine is what holds her mornings together and her morning pages habit that has outlasted every other routine. She also describes the 1920s Australian cottage she would go back to for one more morning. 🫖Follow Penny Wincer:Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/pennywincer/?hl=enWebsite: https://www.pennywincerwrites.com/Podcast: Substack: Follow Jo Hutton:Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/johuttonyoga/Substack: https://substack.com/@johuttonyogaYouTube: https://www.youtube.com/@BeforetheWorkBeginsProduced by @moja_socialNew episodes every Wednesday. This week Jo sits down with Simon Haisell, the self-described introvert bookworm behind Footnotes and Tangents, whose year-long slow reads of War and Peace and Wolf Hall have quietly pulled in thousands of readers a chapter at a time. Simon shares that amidst the typical morning rush, a few cortisol bursts included, there is no ritual to beyond a few deep breaths, a cup of tea and half an hour of reading to ease the day in. He also confesses to the occasional minor breakdown at a hotel breakfast buffet, having decided the ideal morning might be a useful fiction and what he really wants is gruel.Follow Simon Haisell:Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/footnotes.and.tangents/?hl=en-gbSubstack: Follow Jo Hutton:Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/johuttonyoga/Substack: https://substack.com/@johuttonyogaYouTube: https://www.youtube.com/@BeforetheWorkBeginsProduced by @moja_socialNew episodes every Wednesday. This week Jo Hutton is joined by Maisie Hill, life coach and bestselling author of Period Power. Maisie chats about her career from managing a late-night rock bar in Soho to specialising in hormonal health. She reveals how she’s always wanted to write a book, and although most of the writing took place in her head whilst breastfeeding her son at 2am, she has continued to provide support to women through her membership programme Powerful. They discuss Maisie’s late autism diagnosis and why being told to have a slow morning makes her want to do the exact opposite. Plus, her perfect morning at her favourite coffee spot in Margate, opened just for her. ☕️Follow Maisie Hill:Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/_maisiehill_/Website: https://maisiehill.com/Podcast: Books: https://maisiehill.com/booksFollow Jo Hutton:Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/johuttonyoga/Substack: https://substack.com/@johuttonyogaYouTube: https://www.youtube.com/@BeforetheWorkBeginsProduced by @moja_socialNew episodes every Wednesday.
