Bread and Battle

Bread and Battle

2026-11-0337:19

We know of bread and butter – but bread and battle? What does bread have to do with battle? One belongs to the table, the other to the battlefield. One speaks of nourishment, the other of conflict. Yet Scripture reveals a surprising connection between the two. Could God’s provision today be preparing you for something tomorrow? And could the bread in your hand hold the key to the battle ahead?
The Multiplier Effect

The Multiplier Effect

In the Parable of the Talents, Jesus confronts a mindset that disguises fear as faithfulness and preservation as stewardship. Heaven is not looking for mere custodians of what God has entrusted, but courageous multipliers who turn potential into productivity. The question is not merely whether you’ve protected what God gave you, but if you’ve multiplied it for His glory. What if the greatest risk in the Kingdom of God is playing it safe?
The collapse and destruction of Babylon is the FINAL event to happen on earth before the return of our Lord Jesus Christ. When Babylon falls, all of heaven erupts with great jubilation and celebration. But hear the cry of the Holy Spirit, “Come out of her, My people”. If you’re still deeply entrenched in the current financial system, mark my words, God is about to bring it all down. Babylon is falling – but are you coming out?
At the Last Supper, Jesus gave His disciples two significant instructions. Yet most of us remember only one. The other? We may know, but seldom practise it. What was so important that Jesus chose to demonstrate it just hours before His crucifixion? Could it be that we’ve faithfully remembered what He did for us at the Table, but neglected what He commanded us to do with the Towel?
Moses prayed, “Lord teach us to number our days, that we might gain a heart of wisdom.” David cried out, “Let me to know what my end is” and Solomon said, “Better to go to the house of mourning than to go to the house of feasting, for that is the end of all men…” They are all saying the same thing – that life is short, fragile, and we must make every moment count. One thing that is certain is death, and we don’t get to choose when our race comes to an end. So, how do we prepare for eternity?
