Description

Welcome to Pretty Unstable — the podcast for girls who are equal parts pretty and just a little unstable.

Hosted by Klailea, this is where internet culture, girlhood, femininity, relationships, confidence, beauty, awkward moments, oversharing, social spirals, and late-night thoughts all collide.

One episode might feel like a sleepover conversation, the next like a voice memo sent during a mild identity crisis. Either way, it’s honest, self-aware, dramatic, comforting, and way too relatable.

Because being a girl is weird, and somehow we’re all pretending it’s normal.

Being the eldest daughter is all fun and games until you realize you might actually have eldest daughter syndrome... and Klailea is finally ready to admit it. After spending years questioning whether the whole thing was even real, an unexpectedly emotional period of missing her family (and the confusing guilt that came with visiting them) had her reconsidering EVERYTHING. Is being the oldest daughter really as unfair and emotionally exhausting as everyone makes it seem? Or are eldest daughters just a little dramatic? This week on Pretty Unstable, Klailea is unpacking the complicated reality of being the oldest, the unspoken expectations, the sibling dynamics nobody wants to admit, and whether birth order really determines who we become. From the oldest child carrying the weight of responsibility to the middle child stereotypes and the youngest getting away with everything, NO sibling is safe. Consider this an official eldest daughter support group because Klailea is calling on every oldest daughter to share their stories, grievances, and emotional damage. It's time to find out if eldest daughter syndrome is actually real... or if we're all just collectively losing our minds.
Reality TV is getting MESSY, and Klailea has a lot to say. From the Carrie Ann Inaba judging controversy on DWTS and the hate surrounding Connor Wood.. to possible favoritism, fan wars, and the reality shows everyone should be watching, she's diving into the drama, questionable decisions, and unpopular opinions that have everyone talking. But why are we all SO obsessed with watching other people's lives? Whether it's watching a complete train wreck unfold or secretly wishing we had someone's money, house, wardrobe, or entire lifestyle, reality TV has a way of making us compare our lives to people we don't even know. Klailea gets into the weird relationship between entertainment, jealousy, and aspiration, plus the shows she can't stop watching and why sometimes a little chaos makes the best television.
This week Klailea gets into money & how complicated everyone’s relationship with it is. Spenders, savers, & everyone in between, plus the buying habits, the saving habits, & the Sephora trips that were supposed to be quick.Klailea is fully addicted to spending, but it also really sucks that as an adult, literally everything costs money. She just wants to spend it on fun girly makeup & cute things, not a mortgage.
Klailea is saying it out loud: she’s pretty lazy. She walks through what her work actually looks like compared to a regular 9-5, & she admits she has it easier than most people. An office job is harder in a lot of ways. But her job has its own kind of hard, & it’s a lot more than filming a video & getting paid. She also gets into the tradwife conversation & why women should be able to do both. Staying home & cooking dinner, building a career, or a mix of the two are all fair game, & Klailea has zero patience for anyone who says otherwise.
Klailea is catching you up on everything with a full reintroduction to Pretty Unstable. She starts with random facts about herself that most people have no idea about, then gets into where her life is at right now & what u can except being apart of Pretty Unstable! She also explains why she will never be on her family’s YouTube channel & why she is, without question, the pickiest eater there is. A few other dramatic stories come out along the way too.
