The people around us shape what we see as possible. One introduction, a willingness to help, or a little encouragement can change the direction of an idea and a career. In this episode of the Nassau Reimagine Podcast, Laura Dinan Haber welcomes back Neeraja Rasmussen and Ajay Dankar to talk about the ecosystems that shape our personal and professional lives. Neeraja shares how a connection at a Bay Area co-working space brought her to Nassau Reimagine in Hartford, CT, where she found support to explore using machine learning to address retention in insurance. Ajay reflects on what turns a network into an ecosystem: people making time, sharing what they know, and helping each other move forward. We also talk about the influences that start long before we launch a business. Family, culture, and early experiences shape how we approach risk, recognize opportunities, and decide what comes next. This conversation is a reminder that we all have a role in building the communities we want to be part of. Sometimes, that starts with an introduction.
