Description

For so long I've looked past myself for healing. For someone to tell me what's wrong and how to fix it - OH - And which way to go. I never looked within. Until now... My name is Ki ("Key"). I have been dreaming of starting a podcast for a long time...

This is storytelling, connection, message, and reflection. We work together on a journey of healing from within. This is a work in progress! No music, no editing, no fabulous production. Just honest words for whomever needs to hear without the glamour and pizazz. Please, allow this process and growth as we embark on this new endeavor.

Come to the Front, Young Lady — This one is for the young women who are still becoming, still figuring it out, still learning how to love themselves, trust themselves, and navigate this thing called life—and when I say young, I’m talking to the young at heart, too. Come to the front, because look at you… you made it. You have survived things you never thought you would, carried heartbreak, disappointment, confusion, loss, and moments when giving up felt easier than continuing, and yet—you’re still here. This episode is a reminder to pause and honor how far you’ve come, to remember that what you’ve survived does not get to define who you are or who you can become, and to know that you don’t have to have it all figured out, become someone else, or wait for permission to step fully into your life. So, to all my young ladies… come to the front. This is your moment to remember who you are. Take what serves you, and leave the rest. — Ki (Key)
Survival got me through some of the hardest seasons of my life. It taught me how to endure, adapt, stay vigilant, and keep moving no matter what. But what happens when the danger is gone and you're still living like the emergency never ended? In this episode, I reflect on growing up in survival mode, the ways those skills helped me, and the surprising realization that I had been making decisions based on a life I had already left behind. We talk about hypervigilance, rest, peace, and what it means to stop running from something and finally start moving toward something.Maybe survival isn't the destination. Maybe it's the bridge.
Some days, we need to be reminded of what we already know. This week, I needed those reminders too. So this episode is a quiet space to breathe, reflect, and reconnect with the truths we sometimes forget—that we are worthy, enough, allowed to rest, free to change, and fully capable. These aren't affirmations meant to convince you of something that isn't true. They're reminders of what has always been within you.And if you can't believe it today, borrow my belief in you until you can find your own.Take what serves you. Leave the rest.
I spent years believing faith meant certainty, obedience, and having the right answers. After losing my mother and stepping away from the church, I found myself asking questions I had once been afraid to ask. What followed was a journey through grief, curiosity, spirituality, and a deeper search for truth. In this episode, I share my experience with church hurt, the difference between religion and spirituality, and the realization that the Divine is far bigger than the boxes we often place around it. If you've ever questioned what you were taught, struggled with fear-based beliefs, or wondered if there was more to the story, this conversation is for you. Because maybe faith was never meant to be the absence of questions. Maybe faith is having the courage to keep seeking, even when the answers change.
What if perfection was never the assignment? In this episode I’m giving my honest opinion about the ways perfectionism can shape how we see our bodies, our relationships, our healing, and even our spiritual growth. Through personal stories of body image, marriage, self-worth, and learning to give ourselves—and others—grace, I explore what happens when we stop trying to become someone else’s version of perfect and start discovering who we already are. Maybe you don’t need to fix yourself. Maybe you need to know yourself. Because growth was never about becoming flawless—it was about becoming more fully you. Please enjoy!
