Welcome to Day 8 of our 30-Day Family Prayer Challenge! 🤎Today we’re praying for wisdom—for our families and for ourselves.📖 Today’s Scripture: James 1:5
🙏 Today’s Prayer Focus: WisdomJames writes to believers who are facing trials, and in the verses just before today’s passage, he talks about perseverance, maturity, and steadfast faith. Then comes this beautiful invitation: if we lack wisdom, we can ask God.Wisdom is more than simply knowing the right facts. We need God’s wisdom to know how to live faithfully in the situations right in front of us.The people we love will face decisions we cannot make for them. They’ll encounter circumstances we cannot control and questions we may not know how to answer. So today, instead of trying to carry all of that ourselves, we’re bringing them before the One who gives wisdom generously. And we’re asking for wisdom for ourselves too—wisdom in the way we love them, speak to them, advise them, and sometimes simply know when to step back and trust God.Grab your Bible and something to write with, and let’s pray Scripture over our families together.Read it. Write it. Pray it. 🤎Tomorrow we’ll continue with Day 9: Humility — Philippians 2:3–4.
Welcome to Day 7 of our 30-Day Family Prayer Challenge! 🤎Today we begin a new section of our challenge: Hearts & Character. And we’re starting by praying for something that goes much deeper than outward behavior—a pure heart.📖 Today’s Scripture: Psalm 51:10
🙏 Today’s Prayer Focus: A Pure HeartPsalm 51 is David’s prayer of repentance after serious sin. David doesn’t simply ask God to change his circumstances or make the consequences disappear. He recognizes that something needs to change within him.So today, we’re praying that God will create clean hearts in the people we love—hearts that desire what is right and pleasing to Him even when no one else is watching. We’re praying for humility to recognize sin, willingness to repent, and steadfast spirits that remain faithful to God.But before we pray Psalm 51:10 over anyone else, we’re going to let it examine our own hearts too.“Create in me a clean heart, O God…”Grab your Bible and something to write with, and let’s allow God’s Word to guide our prayers.Read it. Write it. Pray it. 🤎Tomorrow we’ll continue with Day 8: Wisdom — James 1:5.
Welcome to Day 6 of our 30-Day Family Prayer Challenge! 🤎Today we’re praying that our families will abide in Christ—remaining connected to Him as the source of their spiritual life and fruitfulness.📖 Today’s Scripture: John 15:4–5
🙏 Today’s Prayer Focus: Abiding in ChristJesus gives us the beautiful picture of a vine and its branches. A branch doesn’t produce fruit by simply trying harder. It bears fruit because it remains connected to the vine.In the same way, we don’t want the people we love to simply look spiritually productive on the outside. We’re praying that their lives will bear genuine fruit because they are remaining close to Jesus. And today’s prayer is for us, too. In all our Bible reading, prayer, ministry, church activities, and responsibilities, may we never become so busy doing things for Jesus that we neglect abiding in Jesus.Grab your Bible and something to write with, and let’s pray Scripture over our families together.Read it. Write it. Pray it. 🤎Tomorrow we’ll begin our next section, Hearts & Character, with Day 7: A Pure Heart — Psalm 51:10.
Welcome to Day 5 of our 30-Day Family Prayer Challenge! 🤎Today we’re praying that our families will grow in faith—and our Scripture reminds us of the important role God’s Word has in that growth.📖 Today’s Scripture: Romans 10:17
🙏 Today’s Prayer Focus: Growing in FaithIn context, Paul is talking about hearing the good news of Christ. Faith isn’t something we manufacture by simply trying harder to feel more faithful. We need to hear the truth of God’s Word, believe it, and respond to it.So today we’re praying that the people we love will have opportunities to hear God’s truth—and hearts willing to receive it. We’re asking God to strengthen their faith as they learn His Word and come to know Him more deeply. And, as we’ve done every day, we’re turning the prayer toward ourselves too:Father, let Your Word—not my feelings, fears, or circumstances—shape what I believe.Grab your Bible and something to write with, and let’s pray Scripture over our families together.Read it. Write it. Pray it. 🤎Tomorrow we’ll continue with Day 6: Abiding in Christ — John 15:4–5.
Welcome to Day 4 of our 30-Day Family Prayer Challenge! 🤎Today we’re praying that our families will develop a genuine hunger for God’s Word—not simply owning a Bible or reading it because they feel like they’re supposed to, but opening Scripture with a desire to know God and understand His truth.📖 Today’s Scripture: Psalm 119:18
🙏 Today’s Prayer Focus: A Hunger for His WordThe psalmist prays for God to open his eyes so that he can see the wonderful things in His instruction. That little prayer reminds us that Bible reading and prayer belong together. We can come to God’s Word asking Him to help us see, understand, and be changed by what He has revealed.Today we’re praying this over our families—and over ourselves:Father, give us eyes to see and hearts that hunger for Your Word.Grab your Bible and something to write with, and let’s spend a few minutes together.Read it. Write it. Pray it. 🤎Tomorrow we’ll continue with Day 5: Growing in Faith — Romans 10:17.
