How about that, a relatively positive Gameday Rewind. After the Sooners 23-15 victory over Mississippi State, what's next? It wasn't a flash win by any means, but did it show proof that this team can put something together? John Mateer played high level football, mixed with an offensive line that played as well as you could hope for given what it has looked like this season. If the offense can build on Saturday's performance, what is the real ceiling for this team? Can the offense finally start giving the defense some room to breathe? Who knows! Take a look back with Eddie, Parker, and Josh in this edition of the Gameday Rewind. *It’s time to upgrade your nicotine pouch. No, it wasn't a dream. It is Monday after the Sooners fell to Kentucky 21-13. If you thought the Eskridge Lexus Postgame Pod was fun, buckle up. Eddie, Parker, and Josh break down what they saw in Saturday's loss. At this point, what would it genuinely take to bench John Mateer? Is it even a possibility? Ryan Fodje couldn't walk after suffering an injury late in the game, but you don't need to walk to play football...right??? The defense was exceptional. Peyton Bowen and Jake Kreul were incredible, yet like most other great defensive performances, it just didn't matter. What makes sense? What doesn't make sense? Who knows! But we cover it all and much more on this edition of the Gameday Rewind. *We are excited to have Homefield as our official, exclusive apparel sponsor all season long. The Oklahoma Sooners won the Red River Rivalry. Words that haven't been said since Dillon Gabriel was in town. But now, thanks to a walk-off field goal from Tate Sandell, the golden hat resides in Norman for the next year. This was a Red River for the ages, and a win that Sooner fans needed desperately. The offense wasn't perfect, but did John Mateer and Ben Arbuckle find something in the second half? Trystan Haynes stepped up to the challenge of Cam Coleman and held his own. Peyton Bowen finally got the pick-six he'd been looking for and it just so happens to be one that will live in the Red River Rivalry lore forever. Eddie, Parker, and Josh recap Saturday's win and much more on this edition of the Gameday Rewind. *We are excited to have Homefield as our official, exclusive apparel sponsor all season long. Oklahoma Wide Receiver Isaiah Sategna joins the show as we recap the Sooners 41-13 defeat against Georgia. The OU pass catcher goes over the headspace of the team as they head in to the bye week before taking on Texas, as well as what this offense needs to do to find more success. Josh also joins Eddie and Parker as the guys look back at the loss from every angle. If John Mateer's 3 turnovers weren't enough to bench him, then what will it take? Is it Whitt Newbauer season? The offensive line has season zero improvement, is that unit fixable? Finally, the defense went toe-to-toe with the Bulldogs, but it wasn't enough. Will this be another elite group that goes down in history as a "what if?" All that and more on this edition of the Gameday Rewind. *We are excited to have Homefield as our official, exclusive apparel sponsor all season long. Now that everyone had Sunday to think about the game, it's time to revisit the Sooners 14-6 win over New Mexico. Honestly, it feels just as bad as it did on Saturday. Everyone wants to run the ball, but is the offensive line good enough to do so? New Mexico dared Oklahoma to throw the ball, yet the receivers couldn't make a difference? The tight ends do their part when it comes to receiving, but it was not their best day blocking. No matter where you look, the offense has very little to be proud of. On the other side of the ball, this defense has been incredible. It doesn't seem to matter where they are field position wise, they get the job done. It was enough to take down New Mexico, but can it be enough to leave Athens with a win? All that and more on this edition of the Gameday Rewind.
