They talk about the show’s casting, backing, and storytelling, how important it is that the queerness of the story was never suppressed, queer representation in media, biphobia and bisexual erasure, and yes, even the actual plot of the show! So settle in for a juicy discussion where the sex is, in fact, the plot, and there is endless space for queer joy. Things mentioned in the episode:The Loon Family skit: https://www.instagram.com/reel/DS1kBARjjHy/Coffee Shop AU: https://fanlore.org/wiki/Coffee_Shop_AUSlash fiction definition: https://fanlore.org/wiki/SlashElinor's piece about why we should stop demanding Connor Storrie come out: https://www.tumblr.com/ilyarozanovspoutylips/806292752601137152/connor-storrie-and-the-paucity-of-gay-imaginationArticle about romance being the reason why Heated Rivalry is so popular: https://www.maxineayawrites.com/blog/romance-is-the-reason"QUILTBAG" stands for Queer Unlabelled Intersex Lesbian Trans Bi Asexual/Aromantic Gay ★ Support this podcast ★
