Description

Welcome to the Show! We are the best - never heard of us - photographers in Oklahoma just crazy enough to share knowledge, passion, and tricks of the industry. We want to help educate photographers of all skill levels with useful information, humor and a few things that make you say Hmmmm.

As tribe twins, we work hard to find and interview the movers and shakers that share the vision that “Sharing is Caring”. We love to hear your suggested topics, questions, and creatives we should have on the show.

We were recently voted “Best Photography Podcast in English” by no one BUT, if you leave us a 5-star review on iTunes, that could become a reality. Be sure to go back into the previous five years of great content to find amazing photographers, national speakers, insightful discussions and a bunch of “Seinfeld” styled episodes.

Welcome to 2021 and the twins are trying a new approach for our podcast.  We are trying Instagram LIVE and then pushing the recording here for the audio podcast.  This first episode was not without it's challenges BUT, we managed to push audio in/out of Instagram, load up two phantom powered mics AND bring in two live callers.  All with the help of the amazing RODE CasterPro.  Our first interview on the new platform was Ben Stanley, a young budding photographer that still in high school.  We met at EÔTÉ COFFEE COMPANY while he was admiring my new Wandrd backpack.  We chatted a little about photography and lots about everything else.  On the plus-size, Ben received a personal invitation to attend the next Metro Professional Photographers Association meeting and the new Thirsty Thursday event, but he isn't old enough to drink yet.Enjoy the podcast and if you wish to check out the live version, head over to the FotoFacts Instagram feed!  We are sure to get better!Find and Follow Ben on Instagram @dslr_n_handGet $35 off your first year of PPA (use Robert Trawick or Jim Felder as the referral - like a popularity vote)Visit our YouTube Videos for more weekly inspiration!Connect on the Facebook Page for news and upcoming interview polls.Leave a review on iTunes and let others know about the show. The Foto Twins love using Røde Microphones & RødeCaster Pro for smooth, quality audio on our podcast episodes. We don't always have sports photographers on the show, but when we do... we go for the homerun! This week, the Twins chat with Carrie Giordano with a little help from local sports shooter Ron Lane.  For this episode, Ron had to guide us in baseball jargon like "The Well", a personal favorite place for this LA Dodger photographer to shoot action.Carrie is not your average choice for a major league baseball shooter, but we have no doubt she can carry her own even if Jim & I have no idea wants she is talking about.  Ron was able to keep us in the game but mostly on the bench. What we do know about is great photography and Carrie's landscape work is impressive.  We all would love to see more of that work and her true calling.  I know she is reading this, so - Carrie, get out there and show that nature work!  We are excited to hear from you soon for the upcoming education opportunities in either style of your work.Be sure to follow, like and share Carrie's social media.  Find her on these fine platforms:WebsiteInstagramFacebookEmail: CARRIE@CARRIEGIORDANO.COMGet $35 off your first year of PPA (use Robert Trawick or Jim Felder as the referral - like a popularity vote)Visit our YouTube Videos for more weekly inspiration!Connect on the Facebook Page for news and upcoming interview polls.Leave a review on iTunes and let others know about the show. The Foto Twins love using Røde Microphones & RødeCaster Pro for smooth, quality audio on our podcast episodes. July is all about money and we start with Profit First Professional, Rhonda Thomas of National Business Concepts, Inc.If you are thinking of going pro, her best advice would be to start with the "Exit Plan", along with making a long list of what is needed to get started and where to get the capital finances.  Once that is laid out, she follows an inciteful practice on how to divvy up your first invoice payment.  But wait, Rhonda did mention starting with a 3-6 month cushion for the rough times or next COVID Coma.Rhonda is the proud founder of the Single Parent Support Group, providing the framework for a mentoring and support program for single parents and their children.Follow along with the podcast and you will have questions, be sure to hit Rhonda up for the advice you need to be successful and profitable.WebsiteLinkedInQuickBooks Pro AdvisorFree ResourcesGet $35 off your first year of PPA (use Robert Trawick or Jim Felder as the referral - like a popularity vote)Visit our YouTube Videos for more weekly inspiration!Connect on the Facebook Page for news and upcoming interview polls.Join the conversations on Flick appLeave a review on iTunes and let others know about the show. The Foto Twins love using Røde Microphones & RødeCaster Pro for smooth, quality audio on our podcast episodes. This week's episode takes more detours than the Millennium Falcon making the Kessel Run.  The guest, of course, is Gary Hughes, a full-time commercial portrait photographer based in Orlando, Florida. The theme is HEADSHOTS and we do chat "some" about the topic but Gary has more information crammed into his brain that most and we just sprinkled a conversation starter letting him take us far beyond Numidian Prime.  Strap in because the next hour is filled with facts, humor, and more than a few guidelines that will make you think twice about how to pursue your photography happy zone. The twins are betting that this episode only scratches the surface of the talented, light master, and when you need to get closer to the legend, look no further than Dallas, Texas where Gary will be 3 times over the next 6 months!Texas SchoolDallas PPAImagingUSA Gary is also the co-host of the popular PhotoBomb Podcast with Booray Perry.  Be sure to check out his work online, follow his social media, and listen to his podcast.Find GaryWebsiteEducation StoreFacebookYouTubePhotoBomb PodcastGet $35 off your first year of PPA (use Robert Trawick or Jim Felder as the referral - like a popularity vote)Visit our YouTube Videos for more weekly inspiration!Connect on the Facebook Page for news and upcoming interview polls.Join the conversations on Flick appLeave a review on iTunes and let others know about the show. The Foto Twins love using Røde Microphones & RødeCaster Pro for smooth, quality audio on our podcast episodes. Welcome to the longest interview in 9 years of the FotoFacts Podcast! This Father's Day episode with the talented, outspoken photographer and PPA Voicebox Booray Perry is jammed packed with all the thing that makes you think.  The theme was all about weddings, but with any casual conversation, lots of Alice in Wonderland rabbit holes appear and we all jumped right in!The topics range from weddings, bar & bat mitzvah, Fujifilm, the Professional Photographers of America, ImagingUSA, and a wide variety of sidetracks.A long time friend of the show, Booray wasn’t always a professional photographer. He spent 20 years as a radio personality, entertaining people worldwide on satellite radio while performing weekends as a comedian in Dallas, TX. Wrapping up our FASHION themed month with a long-distance interview record with Australian photographer Marty Strecker. This traditionally trained oil painter of landscapes talks about how the transition to using the camera more for creation versus canvas reference helped him become more outgoing after discovering people.  Marty enjoys learning about the person and works hard to bring forth traits into the image created.  He eloquently observes the tribe creation power needed for fashion shoots where the creation is a focused goal that many times yields an unexpected result if allowed to experiment. Interestingly, his training as a painter helped Marty visualize light first before moving to the still camera giving him an edge during the learning process.  We all know the importance of knowing light but seeing light... that's an area to aspire towards.Marty's personal passion - Project Behind The Line - showcases the juxtaposition of the lives, passion, and individuality of those who work on the front-line of health care and first responders.  Beginning mid-2019, this project is on point with the current world's pandemic and we are all in awe and grateful for these heroes' sacrifices.Check out Marty's images online:WebsiteInstagramFacebookVisit our YouTube Videos for more weekly inspiration!Connect on the Facebook Page for news and upcoming interview polls.Join the conversations on Flick appLeave a review on iTunes and let others know about the show. The Foto Twins love using Røde Microphones & RødeCaster Pro for smooth, quality audio on our podcast episodes.
