Oh boy! Oh boy! Oh boy! It’s the Week of the Mouse! Octoberama continues as we celebrate the House of Mouse in the most legally distinct way possible, with two horror movies that prove some things are better left in the public domain. First up, in Real World Horror, a group of tourists in Malta discover their vacation rental might come with a few unadvertised amenities, including disembodied voices, moving objects, and a ghost who apparently doesn’t understand personal space. In Horror Business, Sam from Trick ‘r Treat is back to spread some Halloween cheer, Mike Flanagan gives us a glimpse of his upcoming Exorcist movie, and Fortnite gets a frightening makeover. We also discuss George A. Romero’s posthumous zombie swan song and a new haunted house flick produced by Sam Raimi. Then it’s time to put on our mouse ears and wish upon a star as we venture into the wonderful world of copyright expiration. First, a birthday celebration turns into a bloodbath when a familiar-looking cartoon character goes on a killing spree in The Mouse Trap. Then we set sail aboard a New York City ferry where a monstrous rodent is ready to turn a pleasure cruise into a nightmare in Screamboat. So grab your mouse ears, keep your hands and feet inside the boat, and join us for another magical, murderous installment of The Grave Plot Podcast! NOTE: The audio gets a little wonky near the end. I did my best to fix it, but it is what it is. -Tony
They won’t stay dead! We know your hunger for Octoberama aches like the undead’s desire for living flesh. Fear not for we’re back a fun sized Week of the Zombie, featuring reviews of Zack Snyder’s 2004 remake of George A. Romero’s Dawn of the Dead, as well as London’s – and perhaps the world’s – only chance at survival, The Girl With All the Gifts. We hear your moans and groans so chomp down on the fresh meat of a brand new Grave Plot Podcast!
As the calendar flips over, the leaves begin to change color, the air becomes crisp and cool, and jack-o-lanterns are appearing on doorsteps. These things altogether can only mean one thing, it’s the start of spooky season! And that means it’s the start of Octoberama! Before we start digging up our themed film reviews, we discuss Real World Horror about a childhood icon turning into a creepy stalker. For Horror Business, we discuss the return of a horror legend, a series featuring metalheads’ favorite green goblin, and a franchise that just won’t die. We also take a look at the first ever R rated Godzilla movie and a video game that’s suffering will be legendary, even in Hell. For our movie reviews, we examine two movies that really suck. Blood, that is! It’s week of the vampire and we’re throwing it back with a couple of classics. Up first is George Romero’s not-zombie flick Martin, about a guy who’s also not a vampire. Or he is. But not really? You’ll see. We also – finally – talk about the movie that scarred SkeleTony as a lad, the Grace-Jones-as-a-vampire-queen masterwork known as Vamp! So grab your garlic and sharpen your stakes as we kick off Octoberama 2026!
Hey… you looking to party? We’ve got the good stuff. Come a little closer and let us tell you all about Real World Horror, featuring a handful of dead equines that may or may not have been killed by… aliens. In Horror Business, we examine a new film from a famous rapper, a killer bee movie with a famous daughter, and an original slasher on a famous network. We also discuss the next project from the director of Companion, plus a movie with a couple of genre favorites. For our film reviews, we tackle the latest in the Twisted Childhood universe, featuring a serial killer with no strings attached. We also break down the Ozploitation punk rock revenge thriller Penny Lane is Dead. So get a good buzz going with a new episode of The Grave Plot Podcast!
Looky looky what we have here. If it ain’t a brand new episode of The Grave Plot Podcast! Get ready to get crazy as we give you that good shit with a Real World Horror story about a doll faced maniac from Philly. In Horror Business, we break down a new series based on a Stephen King story, an “environmental thriller” starring Samara Weaving, and a movie about Pagans with a Walking Dead alum. We also give you the deets on new films featuring legends like Kevin Bacon and Nicolas Cage. For our film reviews, we talk about the star-studded serial killer drama The Whisper Man as well as getting lost in the labyrinth of the Backrooms.
