Connecting women in Surrey - That was the dream of Jess Sayers who set up Surrey Girls Social, a group for woman to come together and make friends, and also increase their social circle. Jess told me all about the group which has had a huge positive impact since being launched just a few weeks ago. The group hosts regular social events around Surrey for women over the age of 18.

At Radio Woking we were proud to have two of our shows shortlisted at the National Community Radio Awards. Nell Opdebeeck was shortlisted in the Specialist content category for her Voice of Business Show and Matt Price was shortlisted for his Dance Anthems show.
At the ceremony in Bradford Nell won a Bronze Award and joined me from a farm shop somewhere near Bradford to give her reaction.

Rob Day and I spoke to Dr Tiffany Baldwin from Heathcote Medical Practise in Woking. She told us all about their upcoming health and wellbeing community drop in event on 8th November. Its open to all and will be held at the Vyne centre in Knaphill. We also heard how the surgery is coping with the Government plans moving towards the Online Hospital system, but making sure those who aren't savvy online aren't left behind.
