Clea Shearer and Joanna Teplin are very special to Molly. In fact, she met them years back as they were doing what they do best: organizing. Cut to “Get Organized with The Home Edit,” which Molly produced, and these two women have easily become the most famous (and best) organizers on the planet. Given we are fully in spring, we figured why not have them on to talk all things spring cleaning. It’s a dreaded subject for some but they offer fun tools to make the process less daunting. From the pantry to the closet to the difference between editing and separating, if you’re in the need of a spruce up, this episode is for you. Mentioned in this episode:The Home Edit: A Guide to Organizing and Realizing Your House GoalsThe Home Edit Life: The No-Guilt Guide to Owning What You Want and Organizing EverythingThe Home Edit: Stay Organized: The Ultimate Guide to Making Systems StickClear Plastic Large Storage BinThe Home Edit HangersThe Home Edit 18-Piece Clear Plastic Multipurpose Edit Modular Storage SystemThe Home Edit Clear Plastic Low Wall TurntableElfa Utility Large Mesh Over the Door Rack WhiteThe Home Edit by iDesign Clear Rolling CartThe Home Edit Multi Cleaning Cloth SetThe Home Edit Under Cabinet 15-Piece Organization Set, CustomizableThe Home Edit Dish Pod Holder/Multipurpose Storage BinWide Awake Eye CreamLele Sadoughi HeadbandJennifer Behr HeadbandRare Beauty by Selena Gomez Stay Vulnerable Melting Cream BlushFenty Beauty by Rihanna Match Stix Duo Contour + Highlighter SetSponsors:For a limited time, listeners of the podcast get 20% off their entire order with code “LIPSTICK” at Vacation.incVisit shophart.com and use code LIPSTICK10 at checkout for 10% off your first purchase and free shipping over $100.Find your new uniform at jennikayne.com. Spring has been in full swing for the past few weeks and we thought we’d do a solo episode of just us talking about everything we’re doing to get ready for the warmer months ahead. We get into our beauty routines (how could we not?!) We talk about our current fitness routines and treatments we’ve been trying. We dish on travel plans and more. From the best bronzer combo to the hat that’ll take you from the sports field to the beach… if you’re in the mood to shop, this episode is for you.Mentioned in this episode:Kenra Platinum Texturizing TaffyNSBELL Hooks Elastic BandRodial Glass PowderViolette_Fr Bisou Blush in AÏSSAJanessa Leone Simone Hat in Blackillesteva Donna SunglassesSaint Laurent Calista Acetate Cat-Eye SunglassesKhaite The Grizzo JacketMERIT Bronze Balm Sheer Sculpting BronzerMark & Graham Six Piece Packing Cube SetMAKE UP FOR EVER HD Skin Hydra Glow Hydrating Foundation with Hyaluronic AcidTom Ford Shade and Illuminate Soft Radiance Foundation SPF 50Chanel Rouge Coco Flash Lip Color in LiveToteme T-Lock Leather ClutchDorsey KATE ROUND CUT, LAB-GROWN WHITE SAPPHIRE SILVER RIVIÈRE NECKLACESponsors:Go to signos.com and get up to 20% off select plans with code LIPSTICK.Go to tryarmra.com/LIPSTICK or enter LIPSTICK to get 15% off your first order. Go to puritywoods.com/LIPSTICK or enter code LIPSTICK at checkout for an additional 10% off your first order. You can shop Macy’s shoe sale from April 9th until April 21st at Macys.com or in store.Go to helloned.com/LIPSTICK or enter code LIPSTICK at checkout. How many times have you had a stomach ache? Or gotten heartburn? Or had discomfort relating to your digestion but couldn’t identify what it is? These are some of the many reasons why we wanted to sit down with gastroenterologist (and Molly’s own) Dr. Ari Nowain to talk all things gastro issues. We get into bloating, IBS, acid reflux, heartburn, and more. We talk about the right time to get a colonoscopy, why inflammation isn’t one-size-fits-all, and the truth about probiotics (you might be surprised by this one). If you’ve had questions about your gut, digestion, or anything pertaining to gastro, this episode is for you. Mentioned in this episode:FlaxseedSauerkrautKimchiVSL#3 Probiotic CapsulesOver-the-Counter Medication for Stomach Acid & Pain ReliefGo to signos.com and get up to 20% off select plans with code LIPSTICK.For a limited time, listeners of the podcast get 20% off their entire order with code “LIPSTICK” at Vacation.incFor a limited time, Nutrafol is offering our listeners ten dollars off your first month’s subscription and free shipping when you go to Nutrafol.com and enter the promo code LIPSTICKVisit shophart.com and use code LIPSTICK10 at checkout for 10% off your first purchase and free shipping over $100.Macy’s annual Flower Show is here! We’re back for Part 2 with Reesa Teesa. If you haven’t yet listened to Part 1, stop what you’re doing before you hit play on this episode. By the way, we recorded this from Austin during SXSW. And, might we add, you’re looking at the winner of the iHeart Radio Award for Best Beauty and Fashion Podcast. It’s been a good few weeks to say the least. As we conclude our sit-down with Reesa Teesa, she looks back at her series and what she would have done differently had she known it would blow up. We look ahead and discuss trusting again and what’s next for her (Oprah, are you listening?). We also obviously had to tap her on some of her favorite beauty products. This truly has been one of our favorite episodes ever so we hope you love it as much as we do.Mentioned in this episode:Dove Sensitive Skin Body WashDove Sensitive Care Body LotionWitch Hazel Facial TonerThe Ordinary SerumCetaphil Face MoisturizerFor a limited time, you can get 15% off your entire first order at happymammoth.com just use the code LIPSTICK at checkout.Go to tryarmra.com/LIPSTICK or enter LIPSTICK to get 15% off your first order. Right now, you can get an exclusive 20% off your first order at thrivecausemetics.com/LIPSTICK. Go to helloned.com/LIPSTICK or enter code LIPSTICK at checkout To get 15% off.Use our exclusive link to get 20% off - honeylove.com/LIPSTICK.Please note that this episode may contain paid endorsements and advertisements for products and services. It was just a few weeks ago when Reesa Teesa emerged as one of the biggest stars on TikTok for her 50-part series, ‘Who TF Did I Marry’ which recounts the events that include meeting, marrying, and divorcing her ex-husband. Cut to over 400 million views later (that’s more watches than the Super Bowl) and Reesa Teesa (real name: Tareasa Johnson) has officially become an overnight sensation. We loved the idea of breaking down relationship red flags and thought who better to bring on than marriage therapist and author of ‘The Origins of You,’ Vienna Pharaon. We touch on all the United Nations of red flags from lying to gaslighting and so much more. Whether you already love Reesa or don’t know her yet, fasten your seatbelts and buckle up, this episode is for you. Sponsors:Go to boncharge.com/LIPSTICK and use coupon code LIPSTICK to save 15%.Find your new uniform at jennikayne.com. What do you get when you have an athlete and model in one person? Gabby Reece. The former volleyball player joins us today to talk all things training like an athlete. We loved hearing how her workouts have changed over the years and have differed from her days as a professional. We were really curious about matters such as cultivating perseverance, getting into the right mindset, and mental resilience. It’s one of those things, athlete or not, we can all learn from and apply both to our workouts and life in general. She shared that muscle is our best friend, we shouldn’t be scared of using weights, and the #1 thing we can all be doing for our health. Can you guess what that is? If you’ve been in a workout slump recently, hopefully this inspires you to get back on it. Dr. Shahin Ghadir has been in Molly’s life for a long time. As someone who got married and had children later, Molly wanted to do everything in her power to prepare for all scenarios. We wanted to have the big conversation with a fertility specialist around fertility health and infertility prevention. It’s such an important topic for all women—and one that is often quite uncomfortable and rather dreaded. We get into egg freezing and why it’s definitely worth considering, we debunk the correlation between regular periods and getting pregnant, and we even brush on menopause and why it happens. Gabby Bernstein hit rock bottom at age 25. Addicted to drugs, she did everything in her power to search for a higher calling. At an absolute low, she found it, turned her life around, and has been sober ever since. Since that day on, she’s practiced manifestation (long before it became a buzzy word in the zeitgeist) and has become one of the world's leading spiritual teachers. She imparts a crazy amount of wisdom in this episode, teaching us the key to manifestation and how to actually unlock what it is you want and how to get it. We talk about gratitude and it’s correlation to the manifestation process, following your feelings, how to build a strong spiritual foundation, setting intentions, and so much more. This is one for the books.Mentioned in this episode:Gabby Coaching AppHappy Days by Gabrielle BernsteinSuper Attractor: Methods for Manifesting a Life Beyond Your Wildest Dreams by Gabby BernsteinThe Universe Has Your Back: Transform Fear to Faith by Gabby BernsteinKate Somerville EradiKate Acne TreatmentVictoria Beckham Satin Kajal LinerFor a limited time, you can get 15% off on your entire first order at happymammoth.com just use the code LIPSTICK at checkout.Get 15% off LolaVie with the code LIPSTICK at https://www.lolavie.com/LIPSTICK #lolaviepodDo you want to take back control of your hair and scalp health and do it with clean, science-backed ingredients? Yola Robert has been on quite a health journey, to say the least. In fact, it’s the reason she found herself in the holistic nutrition space at all. Think of her as The Home Edit for toxic things. She’ll literally sift through your pantry, all your kitchen goods, and any product in your home to help you live “a low tox life.” Let’s face it, being fully non-toxic is impossible. We deep dive on all the absolute no-go’s, habit stacking (what that means), and how to avoid demonizing food, especially for your littles. She even has an at-home gatorade recipe all you moms out there are going to love. When we did an “Ask Us Anything” episode back a few months ago we were pleasantly surprised by the response and how many of you loved this new installment. We thought we’d go back to our trusty Instagram audience and poll you all on your burning beauty questions, specifically. From the best eyelash curler to non-negotiables we get into it all. You know when you become obsessed with a book which then leads you to becoming obsessed with the author? That was us with Oliver Burkeman and “Four Thousand Weeks: Time Management for Mortals.” Time management is one of those things no matter how efficient you are or how hard you can focus, there’s just the inevitable truth—there’s simply not enough hours in the day. January was a long month and we’re looking at February like the true start to the year to make real, impactful changes. Oliver gives such sound advice, helping us re-wire our approach towards how we spend and think about our time. Whether you’re a mom who is juggling work, kids, and a partner, or maybe you just have a giant workload and secretly want to take up a new hobby, this episode is for you.Mentioned in this episode:Four Thousand Weeks by Oliver BurkemanAntidote by Oliver BurkemanPlease note that this episode may contain paid endorsements and advertisements for products and services. Dr. Marnie Nussbaum is one of the top dermatologists in New York. We could have talked to her about many things but there was one thing in particular on our minds: the teenage skincare craze. Dr. Nussbaum was featured on The Today Show a few weeks ago to discuss this very topic and we thought it was worth expanding on. With the rise of social media and clever marketing from beauty brands, we’re living in a different time. We get into everything our teens and tweens should and shouldn’t be doing and how we as moms can help steer them in the right direction. Of course we had to tap her on some derm stuff for us adults so we got the low down on the newest advancements and the products she’s loving day and night. Anita Ko started out by making handbags out of fabric. One thing led to another and she got the attention of some big buyers. Cut to some more time later, and her jewelry business erupted. She’s made her mark by creating collections that are both wearable day-to-day and that exude a red carpet elegance. She’s worked with the likes of Michelle Obama, Rosie Huntington-Whiteley, Scarlett Johansson and so many more. With Valentine’s Day around the corner we wanted to plant some gift ideas in your head (or your husband's, boyfriend's, girlfriend’s, your own—whoever!). We discuss investing, collecting, layering, styling, mixing metals, and so much more. Lori Gottlieb likes stories. It’s the reason she pivoted from the film industry to therapy—so she could work more intimately helping people through their real problems. As a New York Times bestselling author and writer of The Atlantic advice column "Dear Therapist," she’s explored a plethora of topics we’re deeply interested in and can relate to. So many in fact, we had to narrow it down to one: friendships. Specifically, how to navigate them and the toxic friend. It’s something we deal with at every age since friendships exist as ever-changing. It can be the greyest of zones and trickier to handle than a romantic relationship. Lori gives us utterly sound advice and we hope this acts as further encouragement to start your year off on a positive note. We have a stylish mom in the house, and at 52-years-old, Larissa Mills has become one of the biggest (and one of our favorite) style influencers. It all happened by accident. Her daughter, Ella, roped her into doing a TikTok that ended up going viral (go figure) and a year and a half later, here we are. We are obsessed with her OOTD videos. We are obsessed with her style. We’re basically just obsessed with her. Given that we’re slowly settling into 2024, we thought we’d pick her brain on all things resetting your wardrobe for this year and beyond. She happens to be a pro when it comes making basics feel anything but boring. If you’re in need of a little sartorial inspiration to help get your year off to the right start, this episode is for you.Mentioned in this episode:Donni Turtleneck TopDonni Drawstring PantsBurberry Trench Coat7 Days Active SweatpantsMate The Label Matching Set Oversized SweatshirtMate The Label Matching Set Oversized SweatpantsYSE Beauty Morning Cocktail Vitamin C SerumYSE Beauty The Last Call Retinol SerumHourglass FoundationCoconut Skin Trip MoisturizerBumble and Bumble ShampooGoop ShampooPlease note that this episode may contain paid endorsements and advertisements for products and services. Cameron Diaz was one of the first true health gurus. A favorite actress to many, she has that infectious laugh and smile, impossible to ignore. Soon, she will break her ten-year acting hiatus but in the interim, she’s found herself quite occupied with a new venture, going back to her health conscious roots. Enter Katherine Power. Entrepreneur extraordinaire. You might know her from a little brand we adore called Merit. Can you believe it’s the end of the year? Neither can we. This is one of our favorite episodes and we love that Beauty Hall of Fame has become an annual tradition. We tried to keep it edited by just giving you our 23 favorites from the past year in honor of year 2023 (but we always have to sneak in a few more). We’re beauty junkies, we can hardly help it! From the absolute best body cream to the prettiest shade of blush, best mascara of all time, and so much more, look no further than Molly and Emese’s standouts of the year.Mentioned in this episode:Skyn Iceland Hydro Cool Firming Eye GelsHourglass Veil Hydrating Skin TintL'Occitane Hand CreamK18 Repair Hair MaskYSE Beauty Skin GlowYSE Beauty Ex PadsVictoria Beckham Lid LustreSurratt Noir Lash Tint MascaraWestman Atelier Eye Want You MascaraMakeup Forever HD Skin Cream Contour and Highlight Sculpting PaletteRare Beauty Melting Cream Blush in Nearly BerryRMS Beauty Hydra Powder Blush in Kir RoyaleChanel Rouge Coco FlashLyma LaserHourglass Phantom Volumizing Lip Glossy BalmPlease note that this episode may contain paid endorsements and advertisements for products and services. Our first ever live podcast recording took place earlier this week, and boy was it fun. We were so thrilled and honored to have multi-hyphenate extraordinaire Lilly Singh join us on stage in front of an audience at The Wrap Power Women Summit. We discuss Lilly’s journey with mental health, how she’s looking to change culture, and de-weaponize shame. She’s a major advocate for girls and women and wants you all to know, yes, she does, in fact, have an agenda. We discuss how important it is to  fail in finding who you’re meant to become. We answer some audience questions, do our typical rapid fire. Oh, and, of course, we get into some of her beauty favorites. Let’s just say she has A+ hair. We hope you love this episode as much as we do. Thank you The Wrap and Lilly for everything you’re doing. Mentioned in this episode:At Least You Have Your Health by Madi SinhaAavrani Turmeric Face MaskPlease note that this episode and description may contain paid endorsements, advertisements, and affiliate links for products and services.Visit CleanSimpleEats.com and use code LIPSTICK10 at checkout for 10% off your order. Gift yourself and your loved ones the best gift of all - Jenni Kayne. Like the content, like the format, like the guests. Don't like how the guests often can't deliver their message without interruption. Don't care for the overuse if the f-word. Is revealing that you were able to admit to finishing a whole loaf of 'gluten free' bread. Also lit-er-ally obsssesed with how many times these words can be used in a 40-45 minute podcast. Probably won't continue with this one.
