I feel good again. Editing that episode didn't clobber me like normally. If there is one thing I would love to go viral for, or gain notoriety for, it would be the creation of a program that encourages companies to invest in developing careers to those without degrees. I’m not looking at this traditionally, but rather like an apprenticeship, where skills are learned in place somehow. And earned work credits, where some number of years of continuous experience in the field becomes universally accepted to be the equivalent to a degree.insta / X / BlueSky @jedhatesjava

Man, it’s been a trying few days. Trying to find the thread on my confidence has proven to be trickier than I’d like lately. The past week or so has been a very eventful one. I’ve been struggling with some mental health stuff, and I’ve tried recording another full episode, but getting my thoughts right has been elusive. New episodes of @TheTinyChefShow premiered earlier today! Cheffy is still out there saving the day for me. If you really want a good idea of what it’s like when things ARE going well, watch this video (https://youtu.be/oaDTiWaYfcM?t=1086) to see Jon Stewart’s reaction to the confidence I find so important to getting through the day. I’m going to start a new tradition of including some mental health resources I’ve found helpful recently after each episode. I realize there are a couple of grammatical issues, but it felt good to get this one out. When I was a kid, I used to crack copy protection on games, mostly for fun and attention. It had a profound positive impact on me and my personality. @MadOverlord , I apologize profusely and if you'd ever like to talk about this, hit me up. I got to hear Dave Bautista talk about his experiences and it was eye opening! He's a fascinating guy. He talked about using disguises to get through life's challenges.I also talk more about my admiration for @JoshuaRayWalker and @MichaelClevelandFiddle and how they can put themselves out there and perform their music for others. I am in awe of thatFor anyone unfamiliar with Mr Woodhead and his work on Wizardry, it was a computer game for the Apple ][ platform and it employed by far the best copy protection scheme I'd ever seen.
@TheTinyChefShow Just another episode about an old dude and his uncomfortable infatuation with a 7 inch tall green puppet. I would like to thank everyone who listens to these and to all of the people like me who enjoy spreading the love about Cheffy!
as someone who had their fair share of bullies, I was very bummed I didn't finish this on actual Bullying Awareness day. Nevertheless, it's another little story and honestly, an organization I'm going to do more to support.
