2 Big birding events in the UK over the last week. The first confirmed breeding of the Zitting Cisticola (Fantail Warbler) in Suffolk, and a rare Black Winged Kite seen near WWT Slimbridge.
A roundup of news from the Canon camera company. Winning big awards at he camera oscars, and their 2000d which was discontinued 5 years ago, but is still selling strong.
A short evening walk around an area I haven't been to in a couple of years. Always great for firecrest, goldcrest, nuthatch

Bird news here in the UK and around the world from the last couple of weeks up until mid August 2025
Out looking for Choughs and any other interesting birds as the migration season starts to hot up.
Short trips to Greenwich Eco Park and Denge woods, rounded off by an amazing evening with 2 water rails and a hunting barn owl at Oare Marshes.
On a day at Elmley packed with swallows, Little owls, a green woodpecker, I finish up with one of my best ever UK finds.
I'm down at Crossness in Erith, London. I see a peregrine falcon, red kite, common seal, urban fox, and dozens of other bird species.
