Description

There are two types of episode.

In one, you'll join hosts Chris and Mufaro as they chat to people in their life about topics that range from the wholesome to the silly and everything in between.

In another, you'll hear live recordings from a conversations event, in which two people participate in an intentional conversation activity to deepen their relationship.

Either way - expect a blend of storytelling, vulnerability and talking nonsense, that will inspire you to have a similar chat with someone in your life.

Q: If you could go back in time, what advice would you give your younger self?Advice to our younger selves is obviously a hypothetical because at the time of recording time travel hasn’t been figured out. But it poses an interesting question to think back on the things we’d like to have known earlier in life, and potentially behaviours or decisions we wish we’d come to earlier or perhaps never made. Given proper thought, it could have implications for the advice we pass on to our present self and/or younger people we know. In this episode, Chris and his mate Paddy discuss what they'd say to their younger selves given the chance.Had an intentional conversation of your own? Or it can be purely personal - journalling, keeping a diary. Whether it’s a cathartic release, an enjoyable creative pursuit, or something more, there are many reasons why people write. In this episode, Chris chats to his friend Carter about their respective writing and what it brings to their life. A timely conversation given Carter is on the verge of publishing his first novel.Carter’s novel Smaller Animals is available to buy here: https://www.collectiveinkbooks.com/roundfire-books/our-books/smaller-animals-novel Had an intentional conversation of your own? Sports teams. Whether it’s a local club, a team that your family have been following for generations, or a national team competing at a major tournament, the majority of us will feel some level of affinity towards one or more sports teams. But how often do we reflect on what that support and what it means to us? Not only can it affect our mood in the short-term, but it can provide us with unforgettable moments of joy, form a part of our identity and provide a sense of belonging. In this episode Chris chats to returning pod guest Sean about the sports teams that they support, and how much that forms a part of their lives.Had an intentional conversation of your own? One in four people have at least one tattoo these days.
