Description

The majority (or just the loudest parts) of the Vancouver Canucks media and fanbase is infuriatingly negative. No matter what the team does, they find something to complain about. I have made it my mission to provide an alternative media source that focuses more on the positives. The Vancouver Canucks will win the Stanley Cup this year (and every year thereafter).

In this episode, I had the privilege of interviewing Brendan Morrison, a former NHL forward and esteemed Canuck legend. Morrison played for seven NHL teams over the course of his illustrious fifteen-season career (the New Jersey Devils, Vancouver Canucks, Anaheim Ducks, Dallas Stars, Washington Capitals, Calgary Flames, and the Chicago Blackhawks) and amassed over 600 points before retiring in 2012. Notably, he holds one of the longest ironman streaks in NHL history at 542 consecutive games played and the pivotal role he played as a member of one of the most lethal forward lines ever constructed (the iconic 'West Coast Express' line) further solidified his status as a hockey legend. Recently, Brendan launched a YouTube channel where he offers top-notch game analysis with a focus on his former team, the Vancouver Canucks. I selected the best questions from the hundreds you guys sent in, all of which shared a common theme—gaining insight into the experience of being an NHL player. Thank you for listening! - Nuckhead
In this episode I gush about the Vancouver Canucks' emotional game one win over the Nashville Predators. I react to the news of Thatcher Demko's injury and discuss the impact it might have on the team moving forward. I predict the score of game two and may have slightly embarrassed myself doing so. Also, Canuck legend, Brendan Morrison will be the featured guest on next week's episode so if you have a question for him, record yourself asking it and send it to nuckhead.viewers@gmail.com. Thanks for listening! - Nuckhead
In this very relaxed episode I discuss the now-confirmed Canucks' first round playoff opponent, the Nashville Predators, and I thank you guys for streaming this show all the way into Spotify's top 200 podcasts in Canada. This episode features fellow Canuck fan and independent creator, DeanerHD. A few weeks ago, comments started popping up on both of our YouTube channels asking us to collaborate with one another and I figured that this podcast would be the best way for us to do that. We selected a handful of viewer-submitted questions including "How do you get through a bad season?" and "What is the best trade in Canucks history?" and hit record. In this episode of "the nuckhead podcast," I respond to more of your Canucks-related and YouTube-related questions. I talk about what and who inspired me to start all of this and my plans moving forward. I also offer some pointers on how to deal with bone-headed Canucks-haters (very serious). In this inaugural episode of "The Nuckhead Podcast," I answer viewer-submitted questions, tackling topics ranging from comparing the current Vancouver Canucks team to the iconic 2011 squad to discussing the infamous President's Trophy Curse. I explore the potential re-signings of Canucks players on expiring contracts and delve into who I believe is the most underrated player on the team this season. Additionally, I take a look at the looming playoffs and analyze which teams might pose the biggest threats to the Canucks' postseason aspirations. I also explore personal preferences, including my favourite non-Canuck hockey player of all time and cherished Canucks-related memories. But the episode wouldn't be complete without me sharing the story of when Canucks forward, Nils "Big Hög" Höglander, challenged me to a game of ping pong and won. Thanks for listening! - Nuckhead 🫡
