...We sit at a time when the feminine has been rising for some years, but what Calendula showed was that it will be unable to rise further into its divine self until the masculine begins to heal. We are at a time in our evolution where the inner masculine (within males and females alike) needs to be looked at for deep healing. The wounds both inflicted and received through disrespect and dishonouring of the feminine within ourselves need to be reopened and healed properly...

When you ask a question or are trying to make a decision, there are often a few voices that arise. Invariably the first is right there, clearly stating a choice or an opinion. It’s fast and relatively easy to hear. It often is directing you to do something quickly. It can be persistent and demanding in a loud sort of way. The second voice is also persistent, but in a very quiet way...

What happens when the energy of the land seeps into those who live in it? Maybe it is why we get attracted to live in certain places as they match our own energy, or they have something that we need in our lives for a time...

What does it mean to sing the land?
Most of us, at least in Australia, have heard of songlines – these apparently invisible tracks across the country that the Aboriginals sang as they travelled along. These songs are the music of the land, a sound map of the country – describing each and every feature across the land – each mound in the desert, each waterhole or cave. And these songlines enabled the indigenous to travel vast distances without getting lost – as long as they remembered the song. And periodically these lines had to be travelled, to be re-sung and re-membered.

Today I had the experience of seeing myself as a weed.
An incredibly fertile weed like a “Farmers Friend”, with the little seeds that attach to your clothing and are annoying and incredibly prolific! And I could see similarities to myself. I have a lot of ideas, always on the go creatively, and sometimes frustratingly so – it is a constant practice learning which ideas to follow and which to let go of. I also had the feeling (maybe self deprecating but there anyhow) that my gifts (or little seeds) aren’t always well received. Anyway, so I got to thinking and feeling what it must be like to be a weed...

Herbs in particular are very accessible to conscious communication, having worked in practical relationship with people for so long. One of the most fascinating teachings that I continue to receive from plants (especially in the herbal realm) is that they are evolving with us. Their properties are not static but are ever growing and changing in relationship with the environment, each other, and….. us!

Herbs make brilliant teachers. The more I learn directly from herbs through deep listening and plant communication, the more I’m noticing some repeating patterns.
Firstly, all plants when you meet them at a core level – at the level of spirit, will teach you about unity consciousness. Secondly, the deeper you work with herbs, the more they will put you in touch with your ancestors. This is possibly due to the time we’re living in – where the ancestors are ready for healing and we have the time and luxury to do this deep inner work.

What are birth imprints?
Our brain chemistry is forming neural imprints while we are gestating in the womb, through labour and birth and in the first few years of life. How these neural pathways are laid down at this time has a long term impact. In fact, the more I work with people and their birth imprints, the more I realise that we are living out our birth unconsciously virtually every day...

"Activate your light. Let it shine. Listen to the light of truth deep within. Don’t get distracted by the loud voices of the ego that can clutter your space and cloud your mind.
