Description

Welcome to xoxo, Godly Girls — a faith-filled podcast with your hosts Abbi and Tori, best friends for over a decade, figuring out life, love, and God one honest conversation at a time.

We grew up in church, but now we’re learning how to follow Jesus for ourselves — outside of family traditions, outside of perfection, and deep in the real stuff: doubts, joy, heartbreak, healing, and growth. Nothing is off-limits here.

Each week (new episodes every Friday!), we open up about our struggles, ask the hard questions, and invite you into a space where faith and authenticity meet. We also bring on guests to share their journeys and wisdom too!

Whether you’re questioning, reconnecting with your faith, or just need a place to feel seen — you’re welcome here. This is a safe space. Let’s laugh, cry, and grow together, one convo at a time.

and with that being said...

xoxo,
Godly Girls

Every year we pick a word and hope it magically changes everything. This year, the word is peace—but what happens when life stays loud, pressure stays heavy, and stress doesn’t disappear overnight? In this episode, we talk about what peace actually looks like when God is developing your character. Not the aesthetic kind. Not the denial kind. The kind of peace that’s formed when you stop trying to control everything and start trusting God with what’s out of your hands. If you’ve ever wondered why you’re still anxious even after praying, or how you’re supposed to “hand it over” when your mind won’t shut off—this conversation is for you.Peace isn’t passive. It’s practiced. And God may be using this year to teach you how.
In today’s episode, we dive deep into the seasons when God feels quiet—those moments where you’re doing all the “right” things but can’t seem to feel His presence. What does His silence actually mean?Is an unanswered prayer really unanswered… or is God doing something deeper? We explore the idea that the teacher is silent during the test, and how everything God has already taught you is preparing you for this very moment. If you’ve ever wondered: — “Why does God feel distant?” — “Did He leave me?” — “Why does it feel like my prayers hit the ceiling?” — “Is the promise ‘never leave nor forsake you’ still true for me?”Then this episode is for you. Lean in, listen close, and let’s sort through the quiet together.Connect with us:Tori’s Instagram → @tori___maeAbbi’s Instagram → @abbi.motsingerWant to support the ministry? You can make a donation through Venmo @godly_girls— or simply support us by liking, subscribing, or sharing the podcast! After months of heavy, honest conversations, today we’re slowing down, breathing deep, and stepping into the joy of the season together. With coffee in hand, cookies on the table, and Christmas music filling the room, we’re celebrating the reason for our favorite holiday season—Jesus. In this special Christmas episode, we talk about the true origin of Christmas, the difference between tradition and truth, and why it matters who (or what) we center our hearts on during the holidays. We also have real conversations about the dangers of shifting our focus to Santa instead of the Savior, and hope to give an insight to those wrestling with the issue of "when do I tell my kids the truth."We sing, we laugh, we reflect—and most of all, we worship.Because ’tis the season… and He is the reason. This episode is lighter, joyful, full of warmth and gratitude—a holy pause to remember why the world was forever changed on one silent night. We’re so thankful to celebrate this season with you. From our table to yours, Merry Christmas. ❤️🎄Connect with us:Tori’s Instagram → @tori___maeAbbi’s Instagram → @abbi.motsingerWant to support the ministry? You can make a donation through Venmo @godly_girls— or simply support us by liking, subscribing, or sharing the podcast! Narrow Is The Way

Narrow Is The Way

2025-12-1247:48

This week’s episode asks the question most people avoid but every soul will one day face: Where are you going? Scripture says the road is wide that leads to destruction, and narrow is the way that leads to life. So… which path are you on?Do you have a real relationship with Jesus—or just a religion? Are you choosing to spend forever with Him, or drifting toward a life lived apart from Him? And if God knew so many people would choose against Him, why create them at all? What if the answer is simpler—and more beautiful—than we think? What if He did it all for the few who would choose Him? What if He did it all… for you?He has chosen you from the beginning. Now the question is: Will you choose Him back?Sin might feel fun, but it will never be freedom. The narrow path is challenging, countercultural, and sometimes lonely—but it is the only path that leads to life, purpose, and eternity with the God who loves you. This episode is a wake-up call. A heart check. A reminder that forever is real—and it’s closer than we think. Let’s talk about the path you’re on… and the Savior calling you home.Connect with us:Tori’s Instagram → @tori___maeAbbi’s Instagram → @abbi.motsingerWant to support the ministry? You can make a donation through Venmo @godly_girls— or simply support us by liking, subscribing, or sharing the podcast! In Part 2 of Tanner’s testimony, we step into the silent battle that followed the tragedy. Tanner’s life was once the talk of the town—always watched, always evaluated. Everywhere he went, he became whoever people expected him to be, until he couldn’t tell who he was anymore. That’s when the enemy’s lie took root: “People don’t love you—they just feel sorry for you.”This lie drove him into a life of approval-chasing—working for worth, performing for acceptance, and numbing the ache with alcohol and marijuana. He'd eventually go to built the life he thought would fix everything—marriage, a child, a home, a career. But even with everything he thought he wanted, he hit the darkest depression of his life and was left with the question... “Is this really it?”But God was not finished. In one desperate moment—in a cold shower—Jesus met him. Not in a sermon, not in a church service, but face-to-face in the place he least expected. One encounter, one conversation with the living God, and everything changed.Today’s episode isn’t just a story—it’s an invitation. We pray it doesn’t just make you think…We pray it makes you change.Look within your own heart and ask the question Tanner had to face:“Am I really LIVING for Jesus?”Click here to listen to the message that impacted his life: https://youtu.be/ApJSaUfRPgk?si=VB8DCLrvSrvumGCg
In week one of Tanner’s story, we walk through his battle with cancer, and the heartbreak of losing his mom to the same fight. He opens up about the anger, confusion, and deep questions he faced toward God, wondering how He could be all-knowing and all-loving while allowing such pain.Yet even in the chaos, his mom’s faith became an anchor that would one day pull him back in.What our small town thought they knew about his story was only the surface. Now, Tanner is sharing everything the way it was meant to be heard—through his own voice, and through the lens of God’s redemption. This story is more than a series of tragic events, It’s a powerful, moving journey of raw honesty, unexpected hope, and a God who can turn trials into testimonies.Part 2 releases next week. Do not miss it. This testimony will shake you, strengthen you, and remind you that no pain is wasted in the hands of God.
Is it God? The enemy? Or just your own thoughts? Every thought tells a story about who you are and what you’re worth. But not every voice deserves your trust. One voice directs you toward truth. One distracts you with lies. And one—yours—is left to decide which to believe. This episode explores how to discern God’s voice from the noise around and within you.
This might be one of the most important conversations we will ever had. How did we turn so far...? Somewhere along the way, Church became routine and worship became performance. In this conversation, we open our hearts about what’s been breaking them — the distance between who we are and who we were called to be. We serve a God worthy of everything, yet we’ve reduced time with Him to a Sunday checklist. This isn’t about doing church anymore… it’s about being the Church again. Our hearts are grieved as we look at how far we’ve turned, but there’s still hope. It’s time to return — to the purity of worship, and the heart of Jesus.Connect with us:Tori’s Instagram → @tori___maeAbbi’s Instagram → @abbi.motsingerWant to support the ministry? You can make a donation through Venmo @godly_girls— or simply support us by liking, subscribing, or sharing the podcast! It’s a heart check kind of episode: learning to plan, but also to trust. To evaluate where we’ve been, and to hand what’s next over to God.Is this the end of our podcast journey… or just the beginning? If you know us, you know we ALWAYS talk about checking the motives of your heart-- but what does that mean and how do you do it? This week we walk you through it as the Lord reveals it to us.Join us as we wrestle with those questions and reflect on Proverbs 16:2:“All a man’s ways seem pure to him, but motives are weighed by the Lord.”Connect with us: Tori’s Instagram → @tori___mae Abbi’s Instagram → @abbi.motsingerWant to support the ministry? This week’s episode almost never aired. We wrestled with the tension of asking, “Is this conviction from the Spirit—that what we’re saying might not be right? Or is it just fear of what people might think?” Could it simply be our fear of letting you all down? Maybe our pride was getting in the way of admitting that we don’t know everything— but we don't...and that’s okay.Through this conversation, we were reminded of our own humanity and our ultimate purpose: to point everything back to God. We are not all-knowing, and your beliefs should never be built solely on our words or this podcast. This episode dives into Halloween, traditions, and more.  The purpose: examine the heart behind what we do—and why we do it. We encourage you to ask yourself the same questions and seek truth for yourself.
Your feed is full, but your soul might be starving. Let’s talk about what you’re letting in—and how to shift from being influenced by the world to being shaped by the Word. You are what you eat, listen to, and watch, so what is creating the algorithm for you life?
Seven years ago Tori and Kaitlyn nearly lost their lives in a devastating car wreck. They faced the sting of gossip, the weight of survivor’s guilt, a deep fear of death, and a deeper fear of losing loved ones. This episode isn’t just about surviving—it’s about living fully in the life Christ gives. We are all offered a "second" chance; a story of redemption.Don't wait for a wake up call to turn your life around, because you may not get one.The choice to make is Jesus, the time you have is now.  Interested in reading Tori's book? Stop Being Lukewarm

Stop Being Lukewarm

2025-10-1049:07

Lukewarm faith isn’t just about calling yourself a Christian but never living it out. Sometimes it’s doing all the “right” things for God—while forgetting Him in the middle of it. In this episode, we dive into Jesus’ warning: “If you are not hot or cold but lukewarm, I’ll spit you out of my mouth.” (Revelation 3:16) This conversation is convicting for everyone—including us as hosts. So how do we guard against becoming lukewarm? How do we stay fully alive in our faith, not just going through the motions? Let’s talk about what it really means to live on fire for Jesus.
