The School of Law of Meiji University has long nurtured many excellent legal professionals. The founding spirit of the school is alive and well today. An illustration of this is the bestowal of the "Charter of the Foundation of State" on lawyer Tatsuji Fuse by the Korean Government in 2004. Mr.Fuse is the first Japanese person to be given this celebrated recognition.
The Meiji University Law in Japan Program provides opportunities for foreign students and graduates to learn Japanese law in the historical and cultural context of Japanese society. The program focuses on contemporary issues within Japanese law from comparative perspectives.
　
「法律学のパイオニア」である明治大学法学部の授業などを公開しています。現在，「Meiji University Law in Japan Program」は，English Content として公開しています。わが国有数の「法」の学舎として，多くの優れた法曹を輩出してきた明治大学法学部。2004年12月には，故布施辰治弁護士に，韓国政府から「建国勲章」（日本人初）が 授与されるなど，建学の精神は，今も脈々と受け継がれています。
