We’re catching up, y’all! I just got back from my dream vacay in Hawaii (still mentally on the beach, not gonna lie), spent Thanksgiving with my bestie and the adorable fam, which gave me major baby fever… but let’s be real, I need husband fever first 😅. Now I’m back in colder weather, and seasonal depression pulled up quicker than expected. Let’s talk joy, jet lag, and the emotional whiplash of the holiday season. It’s giving sun, stuffing, and SAD.

We can't believe it's already November, but we're kicking off the new month with some new moves! This episode, we're recapping my birthday trip to Cali, including the good, bad, and the nasty 🤢. I can't help but think of how far we've come since last year. I'm also sharing the official news of Sex, In Context. The goal is to just play catch-up and chill with y'all. Let's kick it together on Sorin's Soapbox.
This birthday bonus episode is a heart check and a celebration. Last year, I was in a very different headspace; disappointed, unsure, and questioning so much about my life. But this year? While I'm still on the journey, I can finally say I see evidence of change, growth, and God's hand in it all. I'm reflecting on the shift, the stretch, and the grace of becoming. Oh—and I'm finally introducing something new to my listeners 👀💬 Tune in for life updates, honesty, and a bold step forward.
This week's episode, we’re celebrating Black women who are living out their dreams of a soft life, whether it’s getting engaged, married, or simply getting everything they truly deserve. 💕 I’m excited to catch you up on my recent adventures, from upcoming birthday celebrations and book reviews to how I feel about reality TV shows' treatment of Black women. We’ll talk pop culture like: losing Diane Keaton and D'Angelo too close together, a Bad Bunny Super Bowl, and why some of your fave romance movies might not be the couple goals you imagine. Kick it with me as I rant and rave on my soapbox.
This week on Sorin’s Soapbox, we’re catching up on all the things: birthday month energy, my first day party for the 30+ crowd, and a new segment where I finally talk about the books I’m reading 📚. But the real theme? Courageous conversations—and the way God’s been stretching me through them. It’s giving grown woman chapter. Let’s get into it.
This week’s episode is a little different. I’m showing up mid-process, sharing what the last two weeks have looked like, including walking out of church and sitting with some heavy feelings I’m still working through. I don’t have all the words yet, but I wanted to be honest with where I’m at. Thanks for listening, even when it’s not polished.
This episode, I wanted to keep things chill. After the emotional weight of When Good Girls Grieve, I needed a softer landing, so we're talking about everything from the highs of anticipating what September holds to my ongoing frustration with dating reality shows and how they treat Black women. I'm also sharing some gems from a recent convo with my sexologist mentor, reflecting on the threads of Genesis 3 we still see today, and unpacking my skepticism around Tyler Perry’s upcoming Ruth and Boaz film. Let’s talk representation, misused biblical “love stories,” and what it means to just be in the moment.
This week on Sorin’s Soapbox, we’re getting vulnerable about what happens when the “good girls” feel like God forgot them. You followed the rules. You waited. You prayed. But the husband, the career, the happily ever after? Still MIA. We’re diving into the grief behind doing everything “right,” why obedience isn’t a transaction, and how our heart posture, not our performance, aligns us with God’s will. Plus, what this all means through the lens of my journey as a Christian intimacy advocate and sexologist.
🎙️ In this episode, I catch you up on the past two weeks—from life updates to the Beyoncé vs MJ discourse taking over TikTok. But the real headline? I’m sharing how I finally decided to pursue sexology and what that journey is starting to look like. Tune in for the tea, the transition, and a little testimony. 😉 #SorinsSoapbox #LifeUpdates #SexologistInTheMaking
🎙️ Long Time Coming... is finally here! After a year and a half away, I’m sharing where I’ve been: from South Korea to a whole new state, and the wild ride in between. Through the highs, lows, and holy pauses, I’ve realized: I’m in the middle of a test, and God is reminding me, He is my Provider, and He sees me. 💛 #SorinsSoapbox #FaithJourney #LifeUpdate

Today's episode includes a significant announcement. We are also redefining what success means and comparing that definition to what we see in society and what that means when you grow up in church. So tune in as we recognize that not all of us are meant to be great, and that's okay.
