The reading was Philippians 2:1-11, where Paul calls the church to have the same mindset as Christ Jesus, who humbled himself by becoming human and dying on the cross for us. Rachel explores what it means to be like Jesus in our daily lives, particularly focusing on valuing others above ourselves. She challenges us to love sacrificially as Christ loved us, acknowledging that whilst this is countercultural and difficult, it's how the world will know we are Jesus' disciples. Using examples from her children's love of Spider Man to birds learning to fly, she reminds us that learning to love well takes practice, and we can only do it with God's help.
