Imagine a place sterile and barren. An almost perfect circle, where nothing has grown for hundreds of years. Where the lore predates the United States. Not just any spot; a spot said to be where the Devil himself paces about, planning and plotting how to further bring evil into the world. 

Things left in the circle overnight disappear. Animals are spooked by it. Those brave enough to camp, report being moved while sleeping, hearing ghostly footsteps, and seeing a black beast.

What formed this circle in Chatham County NC? Why do things disappear? Why do animals fear it? What do the legends tell? And - is the Devil really tramping about nightly?
