Today we'll be addressing a very interesting topic: Sworn translations. In order to shed some light on the subject, Rafa talked to two of her peers to bring us more information on sworn translations in two specific countries: Brazil and Guatemala. Candice Soldatelli is a sworn translator from Brazil, and she'll explain what the process is like when translators take a very specific exam organized by the company registry office in their respective state. Ilduara Escobedo is a sworn translator from Guatemala, and she'll talk about the steps translators need to follow when taking the exam organized by the Guatemalan Department of Education. As for Rafa, she'll share her own experiences as an ATA-certified translator, since there isn't a specific process to swear in translators in the United States.
