‘The current minimum wage is about R25.42 an hour. If the minister does agree to the CPI plus 3%, that should take it to about R27.50, so that's a significant improvement. But given the levels of inflation and the cost of living, you're still going to be in deep poverty,’ says Matthew Parks, parliamentary coordinator for Cosatu. Moneyweb
